"Baby John" NEUSOM - 3 Months - North Baltimore (S of Toledo) OH
A North Baltimore woman has been indicted for reckless homicide for
the death of her infant son. She also is facing charges of endangering
children, in regard to the baby's twin sister.
Neilaina Neusom, age 29, of South Poe Road, North Baltimore, is currently listed in custody at the Wood County jail. She was indicted Wednesday by a Wood County grand jury on the third-degree felony charges. According
to the police report filed with the Bowling Green Municipal Court, the
North Baltimore Police Department received a call on Nov. 30 for a baby
not breathing. Chief Allan Baer states he arrived at the scene and found
Neusom performing CPR on her 3-month-old son. He assumed the
resuscitation efforts until a squad arrived. The squad took the child to Wood County Hospital where he was pronounced dead. According
to Baer's report, the twins were together in a play pen when Neusom
found him not breathing. After the chief learned of the girl, he checked
on the infant and found her totally covered by a comforter.

North Baltimore mother gets prison in her baby's death
Grandmother to have custody of 2 other kids
August 5, 2011
BOWLING GREEN -- A North Baltimore, Ohio, woman whose negligence as a parent led to her 3-month-old son's death pleaded guilty Thursday to reckless homicide and endangering children.
Nelaina Neusom, 30, was promptly sentenced to two years in prison by Wood County Common Pleas Judge Robert Pollex, who also ordered that she surrender custody of her two surviving children.
Wood County Prosecutor Paul Dobson said Neusom abused alcohol and drugs, smoked around her premature twins, and shirked her duty as a parent. She at times left her 3-month-old twins alone or with their 3-year-old brother, according to police reports.
"The point is that the actions of this mother and her complete failure to protect her child enters the realm of outrageous," Mr. Dobson said. "This just wasn't that she was a mom and should have hovered over her child. Her lack of any kind of attention to the child is heinous."
Her infant son died Nov. 30, 2010, from complications of pneumonia. His twin sister was hospitalized for pneumonia, but she survived.
Neusom's plea came a day after her bench trial had begun in common pleas court. She had faced up to 10 years in prison if convicted on both of the third-degree felony charges.
Her attorney, Adrian Cimerman, said much of the case came down to whether her infant son had exhibited symptoms of pneumonia -- something that was brought into question by witnesses and reports presented on the first day of her trial.
The judge could have found she was reckless if it was proven that she had ignored the symptoms, he said.
"You're dealing with 3 months, premature babies," Mr. Cimerman said. "Almost any symptom of distress you better act on."
As part of the plea agreement, the endangering children charge was reduced to a first-degree misdemeanor, and both sides agreed to seek a two-year prison sentence. Mr. Dobson said it also was important to prosecutors that Neusom give up custody of her surviving children, who are now with their maternal grandmother.
"If we can offer some assurance to protect the surviving children, that was valid to avoid the uncertainty of what could happen in a trial, what could happen in subsequent post-conviction proceedings," Mr. Dobson said. "What instead we have is a solid assurance or protection of those children from her and punishment for the child who didn't make it."0.
Judge Pollex said Neusom would not be transported to prison until the custody surrender was completed in juvenile court.

This is a slap on the hand. How long will she actually serve?
She'll be out and making babies again in no time.

Sheesh! What a worthless POS mother. She should be in jail for a long time and STERILIZED. She should not be allowed to breed any longer as she's proven she won't even care for her children. So sick of stories about selfish worthless parents.
