George and Cindy Seek Immunity
...
But at 6 p.m. WESH-Channel 2 then turned to the Caylee Anthony saga. Bob Kealing reported that the attorney for George and Cindy Anthony says they will cooperate in daughter Casey's prosecution -- "only if their words aren't used against them."
Attorney Brad Conway told Kealing, "We've discussed immunity, and I won't put them in a room until I get it."
Private detective Dominic Casey, who protected Casey Anthony and worked for her attorney Jose Baez, is willing to talk to investigators, Kealing reported. Casey Anthony is charged with her child's murder.
Conway told Kealing that Casey Anthony's team has not completed a second autopsy on the toddler and so no announcement on a funeral can be made.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35, Orlando) -- The grandparents of slain toddler Caylee Anthony will seek immunity from prosecution.
The lawyer for George and Cindy Anthony said Wednesday that he began laying the groundwork with prosecutors shortly after he took the Anthony’s on as clients.
"These people (the Anthony's) have done nothing wrong, but are the subject of a lot of undeserved animosity,” attorney Brad Conway said.
Caylee Anthony was missing since June 2008 until her remains were found a few weeks ago near her home. Her mother, Casey, is in the Orange County jail charged with murder.
Conway said he has been thinking about immunity for his clients since he first took the case pro bono just days before the Orange County meter reader found Caylee's remains.

He added that while he doesn’t expect obstruction of justice charges or any other charges to be filed against the Anthony's, he wants to prepare for any possibility.
"Knowing the Sheriff's Office will want to speak to them again,” Conway said. “It's my job to make sure they're protected fully. The Anthony’s have never mentioned the word 'immunity.'"
Conway said prosecutors seem to be open to the idea. Now, he's waiting for them to agree to sit down with him and sign the necessary paperwork.
Conway said that while he doesn’t believe the Anthony’s have ever said anything that makes him think they will need protection he’s confident that an immunity deal is
needed and will happen.
Also according to Conway, he believes the defense may finish with the toddlers remains by the end of the week. Then he said the family can focus on laying the little girl to
rest.
Once the burial is over, Conway believes investigators will question the Anthony’s again.
