Lindon police search for two missing girls

LINDON, Utah (ABC 4 News) - Lindon police are searching for two
missing girls who were allegedly taken by their non-custodial father,
David Steele Fratcher.

The suspect is believed to be driving a 1998 Green Ford Windstar, with the Utah license plate Z958KJ.

14 year old Amber Marie Fratcher is described as Caucasian, 5 ft 4 inches
tall, with blue eyes and long brown hair that goes down to the middle of her back.

Amber was last seen wearing blue jean capris and a
gray sweatshirt. Amber has a small scar right below her right eye and
often wears glasses. Amber also has both ears pierced.

Amanda Mae Fratcher is described as Caucasian, 11 years old, 5 ft tall, and
weighs approximately 125 lbs. Amanda has blue eyes and shoulder length
brown hair. Amanda was last seen wearing a blue and cream V neck shirt
and gray jeans.

Police say the children were endangered as the father had allegedly made suicidal comments at some time in the past.

Police added that they have no information to indicate that the Fratcher
currently has intent to harm himself or the children.

According to police, the children are considered endangered because their
location and physical condition is unknown to their custodial parent and
as they are potentially traveling with very little, if any resources or
money, although the Father did apparently take some clothing and supplies.

Fratcher and the children were also believed to be
living in the van, and with winter weather conditions, police were
concerned for their health and safety.

Lindon Police, with the
assistance of the Orem Department of Public Safety, the Utah County
Child Abduction Response Team (CART) and the Utah County JCAT Team
served a search warrant at a home in Orem on Wednesday evening.

Police found evidence to suggest that David Fratcher plans to take the children
from their mother potentially re-locate with them to an unknown new city.

Police say an ongoing investigation into computer and
cell-phone records from the search warrant was underway in an effort to
learn of potential locations where the children may be.

My
son Jared Fratcher is also traveling with David, Amber, and Amanda.
Jared is 17 years old. The only reason they didn't issue an alert for
Jared is because David and I have joint custody. So it is basically
saying that David is on vacation with them. Please look for these girls
and my son. Pray for their safe return. Thank you very much, Beckylynn

New information on missing Fratcher sisters

Lindon Police have released new information about the
missing Fratcher sisters who are believed to be with their Dad.
Police
say David Fratcher abandoned his Ford Windstar at the Payson Walmart on
Sunday and is now traveling south on I-15. He was last seen with his
daughters14-year old Amber Marie Fratcher and her sister 11-year old
Amanda Mae Fratcher.
He does not have custody of his kids and is thought to be in a van and camper trailer.

Police find missing Lindon sisters in Las Vegas



LINDON -- Two sisters from Lindon who were abducted by their father and stepbrother have been found safe in Las Vegas.
Janelle Fratcher, the mother of missing girls Amber and Amanda, says her daughters disappeared after a custodial visit with their father David on Feb. 13.
Lindon police say the girls and their father were in a white van towing a trailer last seen in Payson.
Police found them after spotting and running license plate numbers on two vans pulling trailers in Nevada. The girls were taken into protective custody.
The girls' biological father is believed to be the driver of one van while their stepbrother, Jared, is believed to have driven the second van.
