Police Seek Missing Homewood Girl, 12

Zaire Mauro Needs Medication




PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh police asked the public to help them find a missing 12-year-old girl who may be in medical danger.Zaire
Mauro was last seen leaving her home in the 600 block of Seagirt Street
at 6 p.m. Friday. Her mother said Zaire is on prescription medication
that she hasn't taken in two days.Zaire Mauro is black, stands
about 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs about 140 pounds, has black hair and
brown eyes and was last seen wearing an Aeropostale hooded sweatshirt,
blue jeans with holes in the knees and red suede Air Jordan gym shoes.
Family members said she always wears her hair in a ponytail.Anyone with information about the disappearance is asked to call police at 412-323-7141.

Store Clerk Finds Zaire Mauro, Contacts Family

PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh police have found a missing 12-year-old girl.

Officers said Zaire Mauro was found after a Betts Store clerk on Brushton Avenue in Homewood saw her and contacted the girl’s uncle. Mauro was found at about 8:20 p.m. Sunday.

Family member said they were worried because the girl has medication that she hasn’t taken in two days.

Investigators said Mauro was reported missing earlier because her family hadn’t seen her since 6 p.m. Friday.

Wonder where she was and who she was with. She's much too young to spend a "lost weekend".

Thank God she was found safe.
