Kelowna RCMP are attempting to locate 19 year old Justin Craik.
His family has not seen him since April 1, 2011, when he said he was going downtown, from their Mills Road residence.

Craik is on medication for schizophrenia and did not take it with him, nor did he have any money.

Justin Craik is Caucasian, 5'6" tall, 140 pounds, dark hair with a mustache and beard. He may be wearing a bark blue hoody and jeans.
Craik went missing last month and was located at a coffee shop downtown.

Anyone with information on Justin Craik's location is asked to call Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300.

Kelowna RCMP are asking for media and public assistance to help locate 19 year old Justin CRAIK. The young man went missing from his residence in Kelowna on April 1, 2011. He has not been seen, nor heard from since. Inquiries have been made with his family, friends and places he frequents, all with negative results.

CRAIK is schizophrenic and has not taken his medication and is likely showing signs of distress as a result.

Please do what you can to fan this out. Craik's photo and descriptors are above in the original release.

Concern growing for missing Kelowna teen

Karen Craik, Justin's mother, says the teen had recently been bothered by something but wouldn't tell anyone what was wrong.

She says he had also been quieter than usual before he disappeared.

Justin went missing for five days in March before police found him.

But a number of disturbing incidents leading up to this latest disappearance has his mother fearing something sinister has happened.

Karen says Justin, who had been suicidal at one point, played with handcuffs, tape and rope before he went missing.

Update: Investigators Rule out Foul Play in Teen's Death

The BC Coroner's Office says whatever killed 19-year old Justin Craik, it wasn't foul play. "Preliminary results are consistent with drowning as a cause of death," says Regional Coroner Mark Coleman, "that won't be finalised before we receive the final autopsy report, which ususally takes several weeks," he says.

That autopsy was performed over the weekend, after Kelowna RCMP pulled a body out of Okanagan Lake, just off the dock at City Park. It was discovered floating in the water by a paddle boarder in the early hours of Friday morning. Police weren't able to put an estimate on the body's age or even the gender, as it was bloated and decomposed from being in the water so long.

Craik went missing from his home on Mills Road in early April. He told his parents he was going downtown, but never returned. They were concerned for several reasons. First, because Justin did not take any money with him, and he left his schizophrenia medication behind. His mother was also worried that he may have been suicidal. Justin had battled bouts of depression in the past, andhis behavior had been odd in the days leading up to his disappearance.

Coleman admits suicide is a possibility. "Ultimately, that determination won't be made until the Coroner has a chance to conclude his investigation," he says.
