JERMANE JOHNSON Jr - 18 Months (drowned by 5 yo?) - St Louis/ KC MO

Authorities in Kansas City now believe that a five-year-old girl intentionally drowned an 18-month-old boy last week in an effort to stop him from crying.



The
victim, Jermane Johnson of St. Louis, had been staying with relatives
in Kansas City for several weeks. Last Friday, Jermane and at least one
other child were left in the care of a teenage girl when an adult went
to pick up Jermane's father from a bus stop. Jermane Johnson Sr. was
planning to take his son back to St. Louis, according to reports.

Tragically
the boy wouldn't head home alive. Police say that a five-year-old girl
also staying at the house took Jermane to the bathroom where water from a
previous bath had not been drained from the tub. She then put Jermane
under the water, drowning Jermane because he "made too much noise" and
"cried too much."


Authorities don't plan to issue charges against the girl. Behavior
specialists say that five-year-olds can't comprehend life and death, and
that the girl didn't know what she was doing.

In the meantime, Jermane Johnson is left preparing for his son's funeral. On Facebook
on Monday he posed the question: "I just got ask the hardest question
that no parent should never answer What kind of caskets do I want to put
my son in."
