Vineland father indicted in death of infant son

BRIDGETON -- A Vineland father was indicted Friday on murder and aggravated manslaughter charges in connection with the death of his 2-month-old son, the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office announced.
Ronald L. Cuff Jr., 19, was charged with shaking the infant on July 23 resulting in injuries that required the infant to need medical care.
The child, identified Friday by the initials R.C., was taken to South Jersey Healthcare Regional Medical Center by a maternal grandparent and then transferred to the Alfred I. Dupont Hospital For Children in Wilmington, Del.
As a result of his injuries, R.C. died in the early morning hours of Aug. 2, according to the Prosecutor's Office.
Bail was set at $250,000 cash or bond by Superior Court Judge Benjamin C. Telsey.
The investigation is being conducted jointly by both the Vineland Police Department and the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office and is still ongoing.
