Since her release from jail on July 17, Casey Anthony – described by a Department of Corrections spokeswoman as "one of the most hated women in America" – is broke, unemployed and estranged from her family.

Now hiding in Florida, Anthony may leave the United States after her probation is over next year. A source tells PEOPLE in its latest cover story that Anthony plans to take language classes because "she realizes she may have to live in another country."

Anthony, who was acquitted of murder in the death of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee, has received dozens of angry letters, including a stack of greeting cards on Aug. 9, which would have been Caylee's 6th birthday.

Casey Anthony is “despised and alone,” according to People magazine.

The latest Anthony story is titled “Her Life in Hiding.”

Anthony gets more space on the cover than “Dancing With the Stars” alum Kirstie Alley (who has lost 100 pounds), Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston (whose failed marriage continues to make headlines) and Julianna Margulies (who won the Emmy for “The Good Wife”).

Anthony was acquitted in July of murder in the 2008 death of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee. People quotes a “source” as saying that Anthony, who has been reviled as one of the most hated people in the country, plans to take language classes because she might move to another country.

Anthony is serving probation for check fraud somewhere in Florida. People reports that Anthony is working with a grief counselor and a psychiatrist.

Most interesting passage in the story: Anthony has “started to learn and recognize her lies and what they did to people,” a source tells People. “She has a lot of regrets.”
