Bellevue police have asked the mother of 2-year-old Sky Eliah
Metalwala to come to the station and answer additional questions about
her son's disappearance.

Bellevue police want Julia Biryukova to know that they are "open and
willing to interview her and take information whenever she's ready,"
Maj. Mike Johnson said Thursday.

Johnson was careful to point out during two media briefings that
Biryukova, 30, of Redmond, is not a suspect nor a person of interest in
the disappearance of Sky. He also said police do not want to "force" the
mother into answering their questions.

Nevertheless, he said, police believe "Julia holds the key" to the toddler's whereabouts.

Police have been inundated with tips and have been able to "move
forward" in their investigation, primarily by eliminating a number of
people in connection with the child's disappearance. Johnson said none
of Biryukova's relatives or friends has shown "any resistance" to
helping police.

Biryukova, a stay-at-home mother, told police she was driving her
brother's car to Overlake Hospital Medical Center in Bellevue on Sunday
morning because her son was ill. She said the car ran out of gas in the
2600 block of 112th Avenue Northeast.

She said she left her sleeping son in the unlocked car and walked with her 4-year-old daughter to get help.

She told police her son was gone when she returned to the car about an hour later.

On Wednesday, police determined the car's gas tank held enough gasoline "to run a significant distance."

The children's father, Solomon Metalwala, 36, has been interviewed by
police and has volunteered to take a second polygraph test after the
first was deemed inconclusive.

Police said they have not been able to speak directly with Biryukova,
who has been staying since Sunday in a hotel room provided by the
department. They said she is answering questions through her attorney
and has declined to take a polygraph examination.

One of her attorneys, Veronica Freitas, said the Redmond woman has
answered every question asked of her by investigators. Biryukova was
advised by legal counsel not to take the polygraph test, Freitas said.

The boy's disappearance came two days after the mother attempted to
pull out of a custody agreement that was crafted in a grueling, 11-hour
mediation session, according to Metalwala's attorney, Leslie Clay Terry
III.

Terry said the mother has admitted to police that the children were left alone at her apartment during that mediation.

The couple had been locked in a bitter and contentious divorce, with
parties seeking protective orders against the other and both leveling
accusations of abuse.

Metalwala has said that something about Biryukova's story "does not add up," a sentiment echoed by Bellevue police.

"There's something missing, and if you find out what's missing, it will lead to our child," Metalwala said earlier this week.

Suzanne and Robin Hays, of Kirkland, said Thursday they were
staggered to learn the missing child was the son of their former
neighbors.

Metalwala and Biryukova lived in the 12500 block of Northeast 80th
Place in Kirkland for about six months when Biryukova was pregnant with
Sky and for a short time after his birth.

At that time, they said, it was always Metalwala they saw with the children.

"He seemed very happy and nice," said Suzanne Hays. "He was good with the kids and was the one who always took them out."

Biryukova, they said, was reclusive and somewhat anti-social.

"I never saw her except when she walked to the mailbox, and even then she would keep her eyes down," said Suzanne Hays.

Police said they have been unable to find anyone who had seen Sky in
the two weeks before his disappearance, but they also learned it was not
uncommon for Biryukova to remain inside the home with her children for
periods of time.

They also said she would leave her children at home alone for extended periods.

The mother has done something with this child. I wish I'd seen the Law and Order Episode they mentioned. If they'd listed the name of it, I could look it up and see if it will be replayed. Sounds interesting.

What I want to know is have they taken her other child away from her. With all the accounts of her leaving these child ALONE for long periods of time, she shouldn't have custody of either one. Does anyone know if DCF has taken the daughter into custody?

BELLEVUE, Wash. -- Bellevue police investigators
overnight Thursday test drove Julia Biryukova's 1998 Acura Integra, the
car she claimed that had run out of gas and prompted her to leave her
2-year-old son, Sky Metalwala, in Sunday.

KING 5 News followed a squad of investigators as they navigated the
Acura along the streets of Bellevue and Redmond. A fleet of undercover
police officers followed the Acura, including a detective with a video
camera, as police drove the route that Biryukova took Sunday before she said Sky disappeared.

After a two hour test drive, it appeared there were no apparent problems with the car.

Biryukova said she ran out of gas and left Sky alone in the unlocked car
to go for help. Police said there was enough gas in the car to drive a
considerable distance, but they wanted to check if there was a
mechanical problem that would have caused the car to break down.

Bellevue police were expected to give more details on what experts found
during that test drive and how police will now look at Biryukova during
a 10:30 a.m. news conference Friday. Click back here to watch it live.

Shoe of toddler discovered in area

Thursday evening, Bellevue police and crime scene investigators had gone back to the area where Sky had disappeared.

A shoe of a toddler was found about a quarter of a mile from the
scene. A couple who was walking on 112th Street found the shoe and called 9-1-1.

"My daughter spotted a shoe by the side of the road and I wondered if
it had anything to do. I came up took a look at it. Yeah, looks like a
two-year-old's, better call it in," said Paul Hurd. "It's probably
nothing, but who knows. Something small may be the key to solving the
whole case."

Bellevue police said there was no confirmation whether the shoe belonged
to Sky. Police dogs didn’t pick up Sky's scent when police compared
the shoe to other objects that belonged to the missing boy; however, the
shoe has not been fully analyzed yet.

Police said they were told Sky didn’t have shoes on when he went
missing, but at this point they are checking into anything that might be
a clue into his disappearance.

"We've gotta make sure we follow up. We've got a lot of resources, a lot
of man hours in this, so if someone calls us up, we're going to look
into it," said Bellevue Police Department Officer Carla Iafrate.

Police make a direct request

Police on Thursday used an afternoon press conference to issue a direct
request to Biryukova that she sit down with them soon to answer
questions about the disappearance of her son.

"I want to make a public invitation to Julia, via her attorney, and let
her know that we are open and willing to interview her and take
information from her when she is ready to do that," said Bellevue Police
Department Maj. Mike Johnson.

The remarks are just the latest made by police signaling their
frustration at Biryukova's unwillingness to talk directly with
investigators searching for Sky.

"Polygraph or not, we have questions for Julia we'd like to ask, with
her attorney present," Johnson said later in the press conference,

Biryukova has declined requests to undergo a polygraph exam, and she has
responded this week to investigators' questions through her attorney.

Meanwhile, Sky's father, Solomon Metalwala, said he believes Sky is
still alive and that he doesn't believe Biryukova's account of how the
boy went missing.

"I one hundred percent believe ... that my son is out there and that he's going to come back home," he said.

"I do believe Julia is responsible" for whatever happened to Sky,
Metalwala said, adding he doen’t understand Biryukova's reluctance to
talk with police.

"I'm shocked, as you guys are shocked... I'm puzzled, as you guys are puzzled. What is she doing?" he said.

Metalwala also confirmed he will undergo a second polygraph at Bellevue
Police Headquarters. Metalwala sat for a polygraph on Monday, but the
results were inconclusive, a result that Metalwala's attorney blamed on
fatigue and stress.

Court documents show Biryukova left both her children unattended for
several hours last Tuesday when Biryukova attended a lengthy divorce
mediation session with Metalwala.

Johnson said Thursday that Biryukova is not a suspect or person of interest at this time.

"At what point does Julia become a person of interest or a suspect, or
anyone in the case for that matter?" Johnson said rhetorically. "[It's] a
question that I have as well and we're going to talk about today and
get our heads around that issue," he added.

Father of missing 2-year-old plans out Saturday search

SKY METALWALA - 2 yo/Male - Bellevue/ Spokane WA - Page 2 Solomon-metalwala-flyer

BELLEVUE, Wash. -- For a man whose 2-year-old son has been missing
since Sunday, Solomon Metalwala sounds more upbeat than one would
expect.."I'm believing that Sky's going to have the best life," said the
Kirkland resident, "He's going to play football, he's going to be good
in school."

While police conduct their investigation, hope, faith, and friends
are the driving forces behind Metalwala's plan Saturday to canvass the
East Side with flyers of his son.

Tonight, after meeting again with the FBI and Bellevue Police,
Metalwala visted a print shop to pick up picked up a thousand flyers
with photos and vital information about Sky.

On Saturday, at 9:45 a.m., search teams will meet at the Tully's Coffee at Bellevue Place, 10500 NE 8th St.

A Facebook event set up for the search shows more than 50 people have agreed to help out.

The plan, said Metalwala, is to post flyers and speak to businesses and neighbors in Bellevue, Redmond, and Kirkland.

Less than a week since Sky allegedly disappeared out of a stranded
car in a Bellevue neighborhood, Metalwala says he still has had no
contact with his 4-year old daughter, who was supposedly one of the
last people to see Sky.

And like police, he said he has no idea where his estranged wife, Julia Biryukova, currently is.

Biryukova told police she had left her son in her silver Acura after
she ran out of gas. She said she took her daughter with her to go to a
gas station, and when she returned an hour later, Sky was missing.

An attorney for Metalwala, who because of custody issues has seen
neither child since Dec. 10, said they've yet to hear from Julia, but
did get a supportive email from her mother, Sky's grandmother.
"She's the only member of Julia's family or friends that has even
contacted us to offer any expression of sympathy," said attorney Clay
Terry.

Metalwala said he wants to keep his focus on the search rather than on his martial issues.

"My strength is coming from my son, who is missing, but he will be found," said Metalwala.

Dad of Missing Washington Boy Reportedly Losing Hope Son Is Still Alive

BELLEVUE, Wash. – The father of a Washington state toddler missing for nearly a week is beginning to lose faith his son will be found alive, after days of clinging to hope that he was safe.

Solomon Metalwala was convinced his estranged wife, Julia Biryukova, had hidden Sky Metalwala with a relative or a friend to spite him as part of a custody dispute, but now fears the two-year-old may be dead, The Seattle Times reported.

Metalwala broke down crying inconsolably for hours, according to his attorney, Leslie Clay Terry III, and after days of remaining positive police have now also conceded Sky's death "is a real possibility."

"The reality of this is that Sky may have fallen into some very unfortunate circumstances," Bellevue police Maj. Mike Johnson said Friday. "As much as we don't like to think about it or talk about it, it's a reality."

Johnson said police are "baffled" by Biryukova's story and "frustrated with the lack of information coming from her."

Biryukova reported him missing from a car parked in the northwestern area of Bellevue, Wash., but has not responded to a police request to talk about the circumstances surrounding the four-year-old's disappearance, Johnson added.

Johnson also said police have ruled out a connection between Sky's disappearance and a child's shoe found near where he reportedly vanished. He said there are no suspects yet in the case because it is unclear whether a crime occurred.

"In order to make an arrest we need evidence [of a crime]," he said. "At this point we don't have it."

Biryukova told police that she was driving her sick son to a hospital Sunday when she ran out of gas. She claimed she left the boy buckled into his car seat, sleeping, while she and her four-year-old daughter walked to a Chevron gas station about a mile (1.6km) away. When the two returned to the unlocked car, the child was gone, Biryukova claimed.

But investigators said her story "doesn't add up" and is very similar to an episode of "Law & Order: SVU" that aired a day before the child disappeared.

Authorities have said they found no gas can in their investigation and also noted that Biryukova's car had plenty of gas in it when its fuel tank was checked.

Meanwhile, KING-TV reported Friday that Biryukova and Metalwala were cited for reckless endangerment two years ago after leaving the boy alone in a car for almost an hour in below freezing temperatures. Charges were never filed, however, because they took parenting classes, the station said.

In divorce court documents, Metalwala said his wife suffers from mental illness and had dreams about killing the couple's children, according to KCPQ.

Biryukova has accused Metalwala of domestic violence, claiming that he assaulted her in front of the children in December 2009.

Sky is of Indian and Caucasian descent and has brown eyes and dark hair. He was last seen wearing a dark green hooded sweatshirt and blue and gray striped pants, according to his mother.

Usually I don't like to pass judgement, but her story is just one big fabrication, and not a very good one from what has been reported. Now days many gas stations don't even have gas cans for you to use if you run out (personal experience), however that hasn't been stated. No

I watched it and it's eerie knowing that it aired the day before. Maybe the mom watched it and that's where she got her idea for a cover up. I won't mention the details so as not to ruin the plot but I can see why LE mentioned the show may be more than a coincidence.

I have a problem when parents won't cooperate with the police and it appears she's not talking to them anymore. Plus the fact that she leaves her kids ALONE for extended periods of time. Maybe something happened to baby Sky when left alone and he died and she's trying to cover it up for fear of losing her daughter. I just hope to goodness they took her daughter away and she doesn't have custody of her anymore. She sounds like she has some loose screws and may take her own life and her daughters.

SEATTLE -- A police spokesman says a missing 2-year-old boy could be
dead as Washington state authorities move forward in their search for
Sky Metalwala.

The boy's mother says he disappeared Sunday when she ran out of gas
then left him in the car when she went for aid. On Friday Bellevue
police said the vehicle ran just fine when they tested it.

Maj. Mike Johnson said investigators have ruled nothing out. However
he added there's a real possibility that Sky is no longer alive,
considering how long it has been since he was first reported missing.

Johnson said police continue to be frustrated by the lack of
cooperation from the boy's mother, but said there's not enough evidence
to name Julia Biryukova as a suspect.

No sign of missing Redmond boy after 900 tips and weekend search

Investigators have received over 900 tips in the disappearance of 2-year-old
Sky Metalwala of Redmond but are still no closer to figuring out what happened to the boy.

"None have led to high priority actionable material," said Bellevue
Police Maj. Mike Johnson. But Johnson re-emphasized that anyone with any
information should contact authorities.

"Some people (who have given tips) didn't know if their information
was relevant," said Johnson. "We want people to err on the side of
reporting the information. We want whatever tips people have."

The boy's mother, Julia Biryukova, told police she left her son in the car last Sunday
when it ran out of gas and took her 4-year-old daughter with her to
walk to a gas station. The boy was gone when they returned to the car in
the 2400 block of 112th Avenue Northeast, she told police.

Johnson said that the search of the 640-acre Marymoor Park in Redmond
over the weekend, along with a doubling back over Julia Biryukova's
Redmond condo yielded no leads in the case.

Authorities also set up a command post on Sunday in the area where
the car was abandoned, which generated a dozen tips. However, nothing
has materialized, said Johnson.

"We had over 300 men and women helping," he said about the weekend
search that included local law enforcement, FBI and volunteers. But
Johnson also said that authorities are still not ruling out anything in
the case and that they do not immediately plan to name a person of
interest or a suspect in the disappearance.

"All theories are viable," said Johnson. "The thing we are lacking is evidence."

Johnson said that authorities would still like to talk to Biryukova
face-to-face but have not asked her any specific questions through her
attorney.

The Bellevue Police Department was giving Biryukova a place to stay,
but Johnson confirmed that they are no longer providing that.

The possibility that she may have travel plans in the future is
something the authorities are evaluating but Johnson said that
investigators believe they know where she is staying.

They have not taken action to stop her from traveling at this time.

"It is something that we are evaluating at this point," said Johnson. "But it is something on our radar."

Anyone with information on the case is encouraged to contact
police using the tip line at (425) 452-2564 or email
Pdtipline@bellevuewa.gov.

SKY METALWALA - 2 yo/Male - Bellevue/ Spokane WA - Page 2 Empty Re: SKY METALWALA - 2 yo/Male - Bellevue/ Spokane WA

Post by kiwimom Tue Nov 15, 2011 12:42 am

(CNN) -- The search for a 2-year old boy who went
missing in suburban Seattle more than a week ago continued Monday with
no new suspects or information in the case, Bellevue, Washington, police
said.

Maj. Mike Johnson said his department had received 900 tips in the
boy's disappearance, but none "have led to any high-priority actionable
item." Despite receiving no new details in the investigation, Johnson
urged the public to continue providing information in the case.

"All theories are viable, " Johnson said, until "we can start putting some of the missing pieces of this puzzle together."

Over the weekend, Johnson said police expanded the search radius at
the apartment in Redmond where toddler Sky Metalwala lived with his
mother, Julia Biryukova, and the wooded area where she told police she
last saw her son nine days ago.

The brown-eyed boy with short, dark hair was last seen wearing a dark green hooded sweatshirt and blue-and-gray-striped pants.

On Friday, Johnson said the police were "frustrated by the lack of
information we're getting" from the missing boy's mother. According to
Johnson, Biryukova initially reported that she'd run out of gas early on
the morning of November 6 in Bellevue, just east of Seattle, leaving
the toddler in the car while she took her 4-year-old with her to get
help.

Police later determined that the car had gas and was working.

"I'll let the evidence speak for itself, which is: There was gas in
the car, the car was able to drive and operate," Johnson said. "That's
not what Julia told us."

But on Monday, Johnson told reporters the boy's mother "continues to
cooperate" and that he "was not comfortable calling her a person of
interest or a suspect."

"Until we have evidence to support one more than the other, we have
to keep our minds open," Johnson said of the various possibilities that
could explain Sky's disappearance. "Nothing has been crossed off the
list."

Other than the boy's mother and his 4-year-old sister, no one has
reported seeing the toddler in the past two weeks, police spokeswoman
Carla Lafrate said last week.

Attorneys for Biryukova have declined to comment to CNN about the
case, citing the ongoing investigation. Repeated attempts to reach
Biryukova by CNN affiliates in the Bellevue area have been unsuccessful.

The father, Solomon Metalwala, who is separated from Biryukova, has
taken polygraph tests, said Sgt. Seth Tyler of the Bellevue Police
Department. Results from the first polygraph test taken last Monday by
Metalwala were inconclusive, according to Bellevue police Sgt. Seth
Tyler. Johnson said Friday he was "not going to talk about the results
of the second polygraph test."

The boy's parents, who separated last year, have had a tumultuous relationship, according to court records.

Biryukova has said she feared for her safety and that of her children around Metalwala, according to records.

"I am told by my husband Solomon (and) his family that if I take any
action towards custody of our children he will take them out of the
country (and) I will never see them again," she wrote in court papers.

Metalwala responded, in court filings, that his wife suffered from
mental health problems and was unable to care for the children on her
own.

Both parents were charged in 2009 with reckless endangerment for
leaving then 3-month-old Sky alone in their parked car. Court records
show they completed court-ordered parenting courses following the
incident.

The mother of a missing Bellevue, Wash., toddler — or someone using
her name and photos — created a profile in July on a dating website
listing herself as a "sugar baby" seeking a "real man." KING-TV
of Seattle reports police contacted the owner of the
seekingarrangement.com website last week asking for information about
Julia Biryukova.
Owner Brandon Wade says he gave police login information and account messages.
Wade
says the page was created July 25 by someone in Washington state
identifying herself as JB. The free profile required no proof of
identity. It features nine photos of Biryukova and says she is looking
for real man who would pay her $3,000 to $5,000 a month.
Biryukova told police her son, Sky Metalwala, disappeared Nov. 6.

SKY METALWALA - 2 yo/Male - Bellevue/ Spokane WA - Page 2 Empty Re: SKY METALWALA - 2 yo/Male - Bellevue/ Spokane WA

Post by kiwimom Wed Nov 16, 2011 11:15 pm

BELLEVUE, Wash. (AP) — From the moment a Washington toddler was
reported missing 11 days ago, police had serious questions about his
mother's story that she left him alone in an unlocked car after running
out of gas.
The case has become even stranger since.
For
starters, police said Julia Biryukova told them she was taking her
2-year-old son to a hospital, even though she left her purse and ID at
home. She said she left the sleeping boy alone for an hour while she and
her daughter walked to get help. But police determined her car was
running fine and had plenty of gas.
Biryukova's estranged husband —
the two are in a bitter divorce and custody fight — said her story was
full of holes and bore similarities to a recent episode of her favorite
show: "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit." He also claimed in
divorce documents that Biryukova had dreamt of strangling the boy.
Police
were also looking into whether Biryukova was a member of an online
dating service that connects women with "sugar daddies."
It all
adds up to an unusual story that has become a top priority for
authorities in Bellevue, just east of Seattle, and provided plenty of
fodder for cable TV news in the past two weeks.
Biryukova has
refused to speak with detectives since the day of the disappearance, but
she did acknowledge she sometimes left her children alone for extended
periods, police say.
Nevertheless, detectives have yet to arrest
the 30-year-old Ukrainian immigrant for any crimes they might be able to
pin on her, such as making a false police report or recklessly
endangering the boy. By giving her some space, they say, they hope to
encourage her to cooperate beyond the limited help she's given.
It's
unclear how much longer that deference might last. Bellevue Police Maj.
Mike Johnson said this week investigators still consider the
disappearance a missing person case, not a criminal matter, and they
haven't been able to rule out anything regarding Sky's disappearance: Is
he alive, secreted away with a relative somewhere? Was he kidnapped by a
stranger? Is he dead, by force or neglect?
"It's a fair question —
why after 10 days are all these theories still viable options?" Johnson
told a news conference Tuesday. "We have sufficient resources to be
looking at all of these theories. None of the evidence we've gathered
has ruled out one or the other or pointed strongly in one direction or
another."
According to police, Biryukova told them Sky vanished in
Bellevue the morning of Nov. 6. After running out of gas, she and her
4-year-old daughter walked to a gas station, she said. And when they
returned to the car — having been picked up by a friend — the boy was
gone. It was the friend who called 911.
Investigators aren't sure
the boy was in the car that morning, but Sky's older sister told them he
was — which was not what they expected to hear from her, Johnson has
said. They're not sure if she was coached.
Biryukova has not
returned messages seeking comment from The Associated Press. The only
thing her divorce attorney, Veronica Freidas, has said publicly is that
her client won't take a polygraph test because they're unreliable and
she's too emotionally devastated. By Tuesday, Freidas was no longer
accepting phone messages from reporters, her office said. A criminal
defense attorney for Biryukova, Robert Flennaugh II, said only that he
does not comment on pending cases.
Johnson said investigators have
looked into similarities between Biryukova's story and the "Law &
Order" episode that aired in mid-October. The plot involved a mother
trying to cover up her infant's death by reporting that her car — with
the baby inside — was stolen while she went into a store. The woman
later drew police a map of a beach where the child was buried in the
sand.
Detectives have also questioned the owner of the online dating service SeekingArrangement.com,
about a profile that was created in July using Biryukova's pictures and
listing her as a "sugar baby" seeking a "real man," Seattle's KING-TV
reported. It couldn't immediately be confirmed whether Biryukova or
someone else set up the profile.
Police say Biryukova spoke with
investigators the day Sky was reported missing, and that she
acknowledged a history of leaving her children alone, sometimes for what
Johnson characterized as extended periods. Biryukova and her husband,
Solomon Metalwala, were cited in 2009 for leaving Sky sleeping in their
sport utility vehicle in a Target parking lot in Redmond for 55 minutes.
They came out to get him only after police arrived and asked the store
to page the vehicle's owner.
The week before Sky disappeared,
Biryukova and Metalwala were joined by their attorneys in a grueling
12-hour mediation session that resulted in an agreement that would grant
Metalwala some visitation rights with the children. Police say they
have investigated reports that Biryukova left the children at home alone
during the session, but they haven't revealed what they learned.
Two
days after the mediation session, Biryukova sent word to Metalwala's
lawyer that she was pulling out of the agreement, and two days after
that, Sky was reported missing.
Police and volunteers have
searched the neighborhood where he was reported missing, as well as the
area around Biryukova's apartment complex and a popular nearby park, to
no avail.
Investigators also searched Biryukova's apartment and car — both with her consent, police said.
Sky's
father has passed out fliers and voluntarily took polygraph
examinations, as did some of his relatives. He warned in a court
declaration early this year that his estranged wife's mental health
issues were endangering the children. She alleged that he was
domineering and abusive.
Papers filed in the divorce say Biryukova
suffers from severe obsessive-compulsive disorder. They also say she
was involuntarily admitted to a psychiatric facility after she
acknowledged to two Redmond police officers that she thought about
killing herself, and the only thing that stopped her was her
Christianity: She did not want to commit a sin.
A doctor reported
that her diagnosis did not interfere with her ability to care for the
kids. But Metalwala wrote in a declaration filed last January that
Biryukova frequently would go on 10-hour cleaning binges during which
she wouldn't feed the children, and that she refused to keep food in the
house. Metalwala wrote that he would have to leave the store he owned
in Seattle's Pioneer Square to rush home and take the children to a
supermarket to feed them.
That wasn't the worst of it, he wrote.
By early 2010, she "was like a prisoner who locked herself into a cell
block," refusing to leave the home.
"She began to have dreams
about killing our children, even telling me of her dreams about
strangling our youngest child," he wrote in the January filing.
In
an earlier declaration seeking custody of the children, Biryukova wrote
that taking care of the children had been a "top priority from day
one."
"I feel that as their mother my instincts as to their needs would be difficult to match," she wrote.

Julie Biryukova, Mother Of Missing 2-Year-Old Sky Metalwala, Looking For a 'Sugar Daddy'?

Police in Bellevue, Wash., recently served a search warrant on a
"sugar daddy" dating website, seeking information on Julia Biryukova,
the mother of missing two-year-old Sky Metalwala.

"They wanted all the records of her login and activity on the website
as well as whom she might have spoken to through the website," Brandon
Wade, owner of the seekingarrangement.com website, told NBC's "Today" show this morning.

According to a description on the site, it is "the largest dating
website for those seeking mutually beneficial arrangements -- i.e., a
relationship between a Sugar Daddy or Sugar Mommy, and a Sugar Baby."

A profile using the initials and nine photographs of Biryukova was created on July 25. According to the profile, "JB" is a divorced mother of two. It reads, in part:

"Happy, single, Loving, FUN, PASSIONATE, kind, healthy, Beautiful,
great cook, blonde hair, blue eyes, slim, very fit, CHRISTIAN, mommy of 2
beautiful babies, I speak fluent Russian, Ukrainian and English, I live
in Redmond, WASHINGTON."

The profile creator wrote they are seeking a "sugar daddy" who is willing to spend $3,000 to $5,000 a month.

"I am looking for financial stability and assistance," the profile
reads. "I am looking for a successful mentor. I am looking for a REAL
man. YOU tell me YOUR 'ideal' arrangement!"
Wade told KTNV-13 the profile account was last accessed on November 14, by an IP address resolving back to a Seattle-area computer.

Detectives have yet to comment on what, if anything, they have learned from the account.

This latest development in the case comes exactly one week after police said Biryukova refused to take a polygraph examination.

"Mom isn't willing to come in and provide a polygraph. To be quite
honest, that looks suspicious and we're puzzled by that," Bellevue
police Maj. Mike Johnson said last week.

Biryukova's attorney, Veronica Freitas, has not responded to a request for comment.

Johnson said Sky's father, Biryukova's estranged husband Solomon Metalwala, has "cooperated fully."
Authorities are still trying to build a timeline
in the case. Biryukova told police Sky was ill on the morning of
November 6 and she was driving him from their Redmond home to a Bellevue
hospital when her car ran out of gas.

"She is reporting that Sky was asleep in his car seat," Bellevue
police spokeswoman Carla Lafrate told The Huffington Post. "She took her
4-year-old [daughter] and they walked to a gas station, which is about a
mile walk, and called a friend to come and pick them up. When the
friend picked her up and they got back to the car, the child was
missing."

Biryukova's car started when it was checked by officers. A forensic
exam also revealed there was a significant amount of fuel inside the gas
tank.

Despite recent turns in the case, investigators said they are not
ready to name any suspects or persons of interest in the case.

Julia Biryukova has a lot of time on her hands these days. Being that
she's offering no assistance to the police who are looking for missing
son, she's got plenty of time for more important things like uploading
photos online.

The embattled mother of missing two-year-old Sky Metalwala, or
someone with her online password, spent yesterday uploading more than 30
cutsie family photos of herself and her children onto her Flickr page, even taking the time to cover up the face of her ex husband.
The Flickr photos contain several shots of Sky, which is more than
can be said for Biryukova's Facebook page, which has dozens of pics of
daughter Maile, but only one of the missing boy.

As it stands Biryukova is not officially a suspect in her son's
disappearance. Her story is that she was driving the boy to the hospital
when her car ran out of gas. She says that she took her daughter, left
her son in the car, and walked to the closest gas station to get gas and
when she came back the boy was gone.

This despite police saying that the car started up and drove fine when they tested it.

Since then Biryukova has refused to aid police in their search for the child.

Bellevue police have scheduled a press conference for 3:30 p.m. where
they plan on updating the media about the investigation. Needless to
say Sky is still missing.

Bellevue police investigating the disappearance of a 2-year-old Sky
Metalwala have released new photographs of the boy's mother unlike the
snapshots of the smiling, glamorous blond from her social-media sites.
SKY METALWALA - 2 yo/Male - Bellevue/ Spokane WA - Page 2 2016800606

Maj. Mike Johnson said investigators were struck by the difference
between the photos of Julia Biryukova from her Facebook page and other
social-media sites and the way she actually looked "in the days and
hours" before her son's Nov. 6 disappearance. The newly released photos
include some of Sky looking older than the pictures previously handed
out by police.

Johnson said he hoped the new images would spark the memories of people who may have seen her or Sky.

"She does look considerably different from she did on the
social-media sites," said Johnson. "And that's why we feel it's so
important to get these photos out, so people can see this is the woman
who was out there on Sunday morning with her child."

Pictures and video stills taken from surveillance shots in a retail
store that Johnson would not identify showed Biryukova in a sweatsuit.
Her hair was piled on top of her head and it appeared brown rather than
blond.

The sweatsuit, according to Johnson, appears to be the same one she was wearing the day her son reportedly vanished.

Biryukova, a 30-year-old mother of two, told police she was driving
Sky to Overlake Hospital Medical Center on the morning of Nov. 6 because
the boy was sick. She said the car ran out of gas in the 2600 block of
112th Avenue Northeast in Bellevue, so she left the sleeping toddler in
the unlocked car and walked with her 4-year-old daughter to a gas
station.

When she returned, Sky was gone, she said.

An examination of the Acura Integra revealed there was still enough
gas in the car "to run a significant distance," according to Johnson.
The car, which belongs to Biryukova's brother, also had no obvious
mechanical defects, he said.

"We believe there's something suspicious afoot here," Johnson declared after the car was tested. "The story doesn't add up."

Police have questioned why Biryukova would leave Sky in the car,
especially after she was cited along with her husband for leaving the
boy in a car for nearly an hour in a store parking lot in 2009.

Johnson said Friday that police have continued to seek additional information from Biryukova, through her attorney, to no avail.

He said she has not been named a suspect or person of interest.

Johnson said the investigation has literally led them "around the
globe to try and find answers about this disappearance, and so far we
don't have any reason to believe that the answer lies any further away
than our own backyard."

One of Biryukova's lawyers, Veronica Freitas, challenged the police assertions that Biryukova has not cooperated.

"She gave them her home, car, computer, cellphone. She talked to them
for hours. What else is she supposed to do?" Freitas said last week.

Freitas said she advised Biryukova not to take a polygraph test
because Biryukova is emotionally overwhelmed and the tests are
notoriously unreliable.

A second Biryukova attorney, Robert Flennaugh, has said in an email that his office does not discuss ongoing cases.

Washington Police Release New Photos of Missing 2-Year-Old Boy

  • In this undated family photo provided by the Bellevue
Police Department, Friday, Nov. 18, 2011, two-year-old Sky Metawala,
right, is shown with his sister, Maile Metalwala, left. After nearly two
weeks of searching, police said Friday they are still stymied in their
search for the boy, who has been missing since Nov. 6, 2011.
Washington police have released more photographs of a 2-year-old boy -- who his mother says disappeared after
she left him in a car -- hoping to generate more tips on his location.

Bellevue Police Maj. Mike Johnson
said Friday that authorities have received 1,200 tips so far in the
case. Investigators have searched the area where Sky Metalwala
disappeared and re-interviewed individuals, but have not been able to
locate the boy, MyFoxSpokane reports.

The photos released also include Sky's mother, Julia Biryukova, inside several local stores.

From the moment Sky was reported missing 11

SKY METALWALA - 2 yo/Male - Bellevue/ Spokane WA - Page 2 Empty Re: SKY METALWALA - 2 yo/Male - Bellevue/ Spokane WA

Post by TomTerrific0420 Mon Nov 21, 2011 4:53 am

Police searching for missing toddler Sky Metalwala have found what they describe as 'something of interest' in the case.

The items were found on Saturday at Watershed Park in Kirkland, over two weeks after the Washington boy was reported missing after being left alone in his mother's broken down car.
Investigators
would not release further details about what items were found but said
they were enough for police to call in a forensics team after an
overnight search the heavily wooded area.
According to ABC affiliate KOMO-TV, police are not sure if the items are related to the case but have sent them in for analysis.

The items were found shortly after
police released new photos of the toddler and his mother in effort to acquire more leads in the case.

Carla Iafrate of the Bellevue Police
Department told the station: 'They found something of interest. We called
out our CSI investigators, they showed up and looked at the items.'
Officer Iafrate confirmed rakes and
shovels were used in the overnight search of Watershed Park. However,
she asked speculation not be made based on the equipment, insisting it
was 'standard' for any search and rescue.

'There’s a lot of leaves, it’s pretty wet and damp. There’s a lot of rabbit burrows, so the land is soft back there,' she said.

Police have had serious questions
about Sky's mother, Julia Biryukova's, story that she left him alone in
an unlocked car in Bellvue after running out of gas on November 6.

Ms Biryukova's car had plenty of gas and was running fine, police determined.

She had told them it stalled as she
was driving her son to the hospital because he wasn't feeling well, and
that she left him inside as she and the boy's four-year-old sister spent
an hour walking to a gas station and calling a friend for help. She
told police upon returning to the vehicle, driven by a friend, Sky was
missing. The friend called police.

In new photos released on Saturday, Ms
Biryukova is seen standing alone in a store wearing the same gray sweat
suit she wore on the day she said she left Sky in the unlocked vehicle.

Ms Biryukova and her estranged
husband, Solomon Metalwala, were cited in 2009 for leaving Sky sleeping
in their sport utility vehicle in a Target parking lot in Redmond for 55
minutes. They came out to get him only after police arrived and asked
the store to page the vehicle's owner.

Mr Metalwala, with whom the mother is in a
bitter divorce and custody battle, has said her story is full of holes.
He also claimed in divorce documents she had dreamt of strangling the
boy.

Police were also looking into whether
Ms Biryukova was a member of an online dating service that connects
women with 'sugar daddies'.

Ms Biryukova has refused to speak with
detectives since the day of the disappearance, but she did acknowledge
to police she sometimes left her children alone for extended periods.

Nevertheless, detectives have yet to
arrest the 30-year-old Ukrainian immigrant for any crimes they might be
able to pin on her, such as making a false police report or recklessly
endangering the boy. By giving her some space, they say, they hope to
encourage her to cooperate beyond the limited help she's given.

Investigators have searched
Ms Biryukova's apartment and car with her consent, police said. However,
her divorce attorney said she has declined to take a polygraph test
because they are unreliable and she is too emotionally devastated.

Sky's father has passed out fliers and
voluntarily took polygraph examinations, as did some of his relatives.
He warned in a court declaration early this year that his estranged
wife's mental health issues were endangering the children. She alleged
that he was domineering and abusive.
In the week before Sky disappeared,
his parents reached a tentative agreement after a 12-hour mediation
session that would allow Mr Metalwala to have some visitation with
the couple's two children.

But two days later - and two days
before she reported her son missing - Ms Biryukova decided to pull out of
the agreement, Mr Metalwala's divorce attorney, D Michael Tomkins, said last week .

In a letter sent by her attorney,
Ms Biryukova insisted that everyone at the mediation session had been
against her and the settlement was unfair, Mr Tomkins said.
The children didn't attend the
marathon session, and it's possible they were left home alone for the
entire time - raising the possibility that Sky could have become
dehydrated, Mr Tomkins said.

Papers filed in the divorce say that Ms Biryukova suffered from 'severe' obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Mr Metalwala wrote in a declaration that
she would frequently go on ten-hour cleaning binges during which she
wouldn't even feed the children, but a doctor reported that her
diagnosis did not interfere with her ability to care for the kids.

Bellevue police officer Maj Mike Johnson said Ms Biryukova acknowledged
having a history of leaving the children home alone for extended
periods of time. Police know whether she did so during the lengthy
mediation - but they won't release that information.

SKY METALWALA - 2 yo/Male - Bellevue/ Spokane WA - Page 2 Empty Re: SKY METALWALA - 2 yo/Male - Bellevue/ Spokane WA

New information from the public has led Bellevue police to expand the search for 2-year-old Sky Metalwala.

On Saturday, Kirkland Police closed Watershed Park so investigators could search the grounds.

"There is no new releasable information at this time," said Bellevue
Police Department spokesperson Carla Iafrate in an email. "Nothing
significant to this case came from the Watershed Park (search)."

Police say they are still trying to pin down the sequence of events that led to Sky Metalwala's disappearance.

Julia Biryukova, Sky's mother, told police her car ran out of gas on
the morning of Nov. 6, as she was attempting to take the boy to the
hospital. She left the car at the 2400 block of 112th Avenue Northeast
with Sky still in the car. When she returned to the car approximately an
hour later, he was gone.

Good Morning America
is claiming that they have exchanged emails with Biryukova. But there
is no way to know if the respondent is Biryukova, a family member or if
the email address was hacked.

"ABC shared those emails with police, which were passed onto
detectives to determine if there are any investigative value to them,"
said Iafrate. "(It is) unknown if emails are actually from Julia."

Biryukova has not spoken publicly or to police since the night her son went missing.

Bellevue police released new photos of Sky Metalwala and Biryukova on Friday in an attempt to gain more information from the public.

‘Something of Interest’ Found in Sky Metalwala Search

Police hunting for Sky Metalwala, the toddler whose mother said the boy disappeared after she left him alone in her disabled car, found what they described as “something of interest” in their most recent search.

The items were found Saturday in a Kirkland, Wash., park, shortly after police released new photos of Sky and his mother, Julia Biryukova of Redmond, in hopes of getting new tips to what happened to the boy.

ABC affilitate KOMO-TV in Seattle reported that police are not yet sure whether the items are related to the case, but have sent them for analysis. One of the items was important enough for police to call in a forensics team, according to KOMO.

“They found something of interest,” said Carla Iafrate of the Bellevue Police Department. “We called out our CSI investigators, they showed up and looked at the items.”

But she cautioned against reading anything into the fact that search teams were seen using rakes and shovels as they worked into the night at heavily wooded Watershed Park.

“I think that’s just standard equipment for any search and rescue,” said Iafrate. “There’s a lot of leaves, it’s pretty wet and damp. There’s a lot of rabbit burrows, so the land is soft back there.”

In the photos released Saturday, Biryukova is shown standing alone in a store, wearing the same gray sweat suit she wore on Nov. 6 when she told police that she left Sky in her stalled, unlocked car for an hour while she walked a mile to buy fuel at a gas station.

When Biryukova returned, the boy was gone, she told police, who also said that Biryukova has refused their request to interview her regarding her child’s disappearance.

At least for now, authorities have opted against arresting Biryukova for not cooperating with an investigation that has included searching the areas around his home and the locale where she said the boy vanished.

Police said Friday that they’ve checked all but a dozen of the roughly 1,200 tips that residents called in about the case but none have panned out.

Thanks for the photos Verogal. Sky looks like a spitting image of her husband who she obviously hates. They reported that she wanted to revoke the visitation agreement they'd come up with so maybe she didn't want the father to have the children and was willing to do away with the son. It was reported that she had dreams of strangling him so it makes you wonder. I think the daughter looks a lot like the father too but maybe she's partial to her. I wish the mother would just tell where Sky is because I'm almost certain her entire story is a sham.
