The Highlands County Sheriff's Office is looking for a missing juvenile thought to be in the Overlook Terrace area of Avon Park.

Stormi Canter, 15, was last seen by her mother on Dec. 6 at approximately 2:30 p.m. Canter left her residence at 1543 Kerry Dr. in Sebring with a black male driving a small pickup truck, possibly a Chevy S-10 or similar Ford model.

Canter is 5-foot-4 with hazel eyes and weighs approximately 180 pounds. She had black hair, however her natural hair color is blonde and it may have been dyed a reddish brown color as well.

A 15-year-old Sebring girl, who was reported missing by her
mother since Dec. 6, was found in Avon Park Wednesday afternoon, with
the help of the Avon Park Police Department, said Nell Hays, spokeswoman
for the Highlands County Sheriff's Office.

She was unharmed.

The sheriff's office issued a missing person's report Tuesday for
Stormi Canter, who authorities believed was in the Overlook Terrace area
of Avon Park.

"We got a number of calls about her," Hays said. "She was recovered in Avon Park. She was sighted on Delaney Avenue."

Hays said Canter is a frequent runaway. She was turned over to the
Department of Juvenile Justice in Bartow on warrants on curfew
violations, misdemeanor charges and felony charges of grand theft and
grand theft of a motor vehicle, Hays said.

No one has been charged with harboring a runaway, and Hays said she didn't expect any charges in that regard.
