KENNY STOUT - 17 yo - Douglas Cty/ Ava MO

Sheriff's officials in Douglas County are looking for a 17-year-old
from Ava who has not been seen since mid-afternoon on Tuesday.

Kenny Stout was last seen in the Ava area in the company of an adult.

Sheriff Chris Degase says there are suspicious circumstances surrounding the boy's disappearance.

He also says they know who the person is Stout was last seen with, but they have not been able to find this person.

Anyone with information about Stout and where he is are urged to call the Douglas County Sheriff's Department at 417-683-1020.

Stout was wearing black wind pants, a grey and black striped zip up jacket. He's about 6'-1" and weighs 165 pounds.

He was also sporting short buzz cut brown hair and a tattoo of a cross on his right shoulder.

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Mo.—

A homicide investigation is underway and three people are in custody in Douglas County, MO, after the sheriff confirmed the death of a missing teen from Ava, MO. Kenny Stout went missing Tuesday. Authorities say they found his body in a wooded area on County Road 501, near a country club, just outside of town. An official cause of death and suspect's names have not been released. Friends and family members tell KSPR News authorities have found the body of a missing teen from Ava, MO. They say the Kenny Stout's body was found at 5:00 a.m Thursday, but the location of the body and cause of death are unknown. The Douglas County Sheriff's Office has been treating the disappearance as "suspicious." We'll have an update when more information becomes available
