Amber Alert issued for Peoria children

An Amber Alert was issued today for two children from Peoria.

Peoria police say two children were abducted from the 300 block of Southwest Washington in Peoria at 10:20 a.m. Thursday.

Moriah Milan, 1, and her brother, Audermar Peterson, 2 months, were taken by their non-custodial mother, Nyway Abbaa, investigators say.

Moriah, is 2-feet-6, weighs 24 pounds, and was wearing a green shirt, blue jeans, a green coat, and purple and pink Reebok shoes. Audermar was wearing a blue and white onesy, and had a white blanket with blue stars.

Abbaa, 20, is black, 5-foot-1, 180 pounds wearing a head scarf, pink shirt and gray pants.

She was driving a green Mercury wagon with Illinois license plates P487981.

She was last seen northbound on Hamilton St., in downtown Peoria.

An Amber Alert was canceled
Friday morning for two Peoria children after their mother and her
boyfriend were found in Minneapolis, Minn. late Thursday night.

Peoria police say two children were abducted from the 300 block of Southwest Washington in Peoria at 10:20 a.m. Thursday.




The kids and their mother were located, along with the mother's boyfriend, and the two adults were arrested.
Charges are pending, according to Peoria police, and the children are in the care of Minnesota state social services.
