WATERLOO, Iowa --- A Waterloo father has been arrested after his child suffered a broken leg.

Police were called to Covenant Medical Center Thursday for a 9-month-old child with a suspicious injury.

Doctors determined the child had a spiral fracture to the femur.

The break was inconsistent with what the father said happened,
court records state, and the dad later admitted he believed he may
have broken the leg while changing a diaper.

This is really bad. It's not easy to break a leg on a baby, their bones are rather soft. It would cause excruciating pain.
