Orange County deputies are asking for help in finding a 1-year-old child they say might be endangered.





Deputies said they began looking for 1-year-old Michael Gonzalez, when on Jan. 21 they responded to a missing person report for his mother, 18-year-old Jessica Gonzalez, and his father, 17-year-old Sean Schwartz.

Investigators say Schwartz is a registered sex offender and only allowed supervised visits with the child.

Officials say they were last spotted Friday morning near Hwy 192 and Armstrong Blvd in Kissimmee

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. —

Orange County investigators are looking for a mother and child who are believed to be with a registered sex offender. The child’s grandmother called deputies last Saturday when the mother and her one-year-old did not come home.

All three were last seen on foot at Highway 192 and Armstrong Boulevard in Kissimmee, around 9 o’clock, Friday morning.

No one has had contact with Jessica Gonzalez and her son, Michael Gonzalez since last Saturday. There was great concern Friday night by friends, family and sheriff’s deputies because they were spotted with the baby’s father, Sean Schwartz, Friday.

Schwartz is a registered sex offender who is only allowed supervised visits with the baby.

“Obviously there is a history with this young man regarding a prior incident with him and he has a criminal record and again we are concerned with the child’s safety,” said Orange County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Angela Nieves.

Deputies could not say what Schwartz did to land him on the state’s sex offender registry but learned the victim was under 12.

Efforts have been underway to find the woman and her little boy.

“We have deputies looking for the family. We have yet to locate them,” said Nieves.

The woman’s parents reported the three people missing on Saturday to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Gonzalez’s last known address was along Bonneville Road near East Colonial Drive in Orange County where she lived with her son.

“What we are trying to do right now is determine the safety of the child. Make sure the well being. He’s doing well. He’s OK,” said Nieves.

The Department of Children and Families is also involved in this case.

Family of the 18-year-old mother Jessica Gonzalez reported she and her one-year old son Michael missing after they feared that they had run away with the baby's father.

The father, Sean Schwartz, 17, has a criminal record and is registered as a sex offender.

All three were found after they were spotted walking alongside a highway in Kissimmee, Florida.

Schwartz was arrested due to outstanding warrants, and the baby is now in the care of the state's Children's Services.

Stupid mother. I hope they take the baby away from her for good and place him in a safe, loving environment. Glad the family reported the abduction as it could have ended badly.
