"Baby Jane Doe" - 18 Months/ Accused: Christopher Clamon -Hawkins Cty/ Knoxville TN

A Hawkins County man faces child abuse and neglect charges, after deputies discovered evidence of abuse on his girlfriend's 18-month-old daughter.
The Hawkins County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded to a call from the Wellmont Hawkins County Memorial Hospital Emergency Room about a possible child abuse case. When they got there, emergency room staff told them that the toddler's mother had brought her in for a possible rash. When they saw the child, deputies noticed serious bruising and markings on her face, neck, torso and legs, all of which were consistent with abuse.

Hawkins County detectives notified Child Protective Services, who put the toddler in the care of a family member. Investigators interviewed the mother's boyfriend, Christopher Clamon, 22, who admitted to detectives that he had injured the girl.

Clamon was charged with Aggravated Child Abuse and Neglect. He is currently being held in the Hawkins County Jail on a $50,000 bond. He's scheduled to be in court in Rogersville on March 5.
