AUSTIN CYR - 16 yo - Winsted CT

Police are searching for a missing teenager from Winsted. The family of 16-year-old Austin Cyr says he ran away from a cardiac doctor's appointment in Hartford on Thursday, March 8th.
Cyr is 5'5' tall, weighing approximately 145 pounds, with red hair and green eyes. He has pierced ears, freckles, and braces.
He hasn't taken his anti-seizure medication and may be in need of medical attention.

HARTFORD – Austin Cyr has been located.

Missing since last
Thursday, the 16-year-old Harwinton resident called his mother, Wendy
Cyr, Tuesday afternoon. According to Wendy Cyr, Austin had been accosted
for his clothing as he wandered in Hartford, but borrowed a cell phone
and called home.

“He's getting medical attention,” Wendy Cyr said. “It's quite a relief.”

It always makes me happy when one of these children is found alive.

I hope he was not badly hurt but it sounds like he had a traumatic experience.
