Baby dies in car after father forgets to drop her off at day care

09/25/2012
A 6-month-old baby in Florida was discovered dead in a car Tuesday after
the father forgot to drop her off at day care, police said.
Miami-Dade Police confirmed the girl was found at Doral Academy
Preparatory School Tuesday afternoon after she had been left in a car
seat for approximately nine hours.
The baby, Rosalyn Ramos, was taken to Miami Children’s Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Police said the baby’s father, Lazaro Ramos, was supposed to have
dropped her off at a daycare center about 9 a.m. Tuesday, but apparently
forgot she was in the car and went about his day.
The father dropped one of his children off at the school and then drove
to work and left the baby in the back seat of the car, police said. He
reportedly told police it was not part of his routine to care for the
baby. When he returned to pick his child up from the school, the baby
was discovered and police were called to the scene.
It was unclear where the car was parked during the day. Temperatures in Miami Tuesday reached 88 degrees.
Miami-Dade
Police Detective Aida Fina-Milian called the incident a tragic
accident, but told NBC News the investigation is ongoing. Ramos is
currently in police custody.

Sad another child dead in another hot car. Besides AVA's rules there are other things to think about. I am slowly putting together some rules.

Never assume where your child is, KNOW.
Never assume your child is NOT in the car LOOK.
Never leave your child ALONE for one second.
Never assume your child is safe, KNOW.
