WINTER HAVEN, Fla. -- A missing child alert has been issued for two children last seen in the Winter Haven area. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is looking for 7-year-old Emily Brown and 15-year-old Kennedy Little. Both girls were last seen in the 3000 block of St. Paul Drive in Winter Haven. The FDLE says the children maybe in the company of 37-year-old Barbara Brown.

Emily is 4 feet tall, 50 pounds with black hair.

Kennedy is 5 feet 1 inches tall with auburn hair and hazel eyes.

Barbara is 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighs 150 pounds and has black hair and blue eyes.

WINTER HAVEN, Fla. —A tip to Lake Wales police led to the finding of two missing girls and their mother Sunday morning.

A statewide missing child alert was issued Saturday for Barbara Brown and her children, Emily Brown and Kennedy Little.

The three disappeared days after the Department of Children and Families got a court order to take custody of the children.

Officials made contact with Brown, but she refused to provide her location.

Police received a tip Sunday that that the woman and her children were at a location in Kenansville, N.C.

Lake Wales police notified authorities there, who found the children and their mother.

Police are investigating and arranging the return of them to Florida.
