Graubard, RobinNorberto Torres (c.) fatally stabbed Sister Virginia Thomann at a Mott Haven shelter in January 1987. He spent about 20 years in prison and was put on lifetime parole.
A monster who was on parole for hacking a nun to death in The Bronx nearly three decades ago has admitted to another vile crime — a sexual attack on a 5-year-old girl.
Norberto Torres, 47, quietly pleaded guilty last week to sodomizing and forcing oral sex on his neighbor's child in a Harlem apartment.
The abuse occurred while Torres was babysitting the victim on June 14, 2013 and there was strong proof he committed he heinous act — DNA from his semen was inside the little girl's clothing.
Torres pleaded guilty to the stomach-churning charge minutes before jury selection was set to begin in the case. He’s expected to be sentenced to 25 years in prison later this year — but he’s potentially facing much more time than that.
The horrific 1987 killing is reported in the Daily News.
Torres was on lifetime parole for the brutal stabbing death of Sister Virginia Thomann at a Mott Haven shelter in January 1987.
Police at the time said Torres had been booted from the facility for drug use and had returned to get his belongings when he started arguing with staff, demanding more money than the $100 they’d returned.
He then went back again, and turned his wrath on the nun, who’d been volunteering as a counselor at the shelter for troubled men.
Cops said he stabbed Thomann four times in the neck.
Torres was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison, and was paroled in 2009 after serving about 20 years.
He landed at a transitional home in Hamilton Heights where he encountered the girl he abused and her mother.
After the boyfriend of the child's mother learned of the incident, he badly roughed up the admitted pedophile, Torres' lawyer said.
Torres was hospitalized with a broken skull and underwent surgery on his brain, which was bleeding.

Davis, Clarence Norberto Torres, who's seen here with cops after the 1987 death of Sister Virginia Thomann, admitted last week to sexually abusing a 5-year-old girl in 2013.
“I still have health issues, you know, behind, you know, the beating that I sustained inside [child's mother's] house,” he whined to Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Melissa Jackson when she asked him standard questions about his health and state of mind before accepting his plea.
The deal with prosecutors spared the little girl, now 6, from having to testify.
In exchange for the plea, Torres will get a flat 25 years behind bars when he’s sentenced on Dec. 1, as opposed to the maximum he could have faced at trial of 25 to life.
Torres' attorney, Glenn Hardy, said his client pled to avoid having another life sentence hanging over his head.
“He understood the nature of his actions and took responsibility for them,” Hardy said.
While he was spared parole for the child abuse, Torres could potentially still face life behind bars for committing a serious crime while on lifetime parole.
