KAIA BRACY - 17 mo - Marengo/Morrow County - OH

MORROW COUNTY — An Amber Alert has been issued for a 17-month-old
girl in Morrow County, according to a press release from authorities.
Law enforcement is asking people to be on the look-out for a missing
or abducted child. According to the release, Melody Collins, 23, a
non-custodial mother, has made threats to harm the child.Collins
was last seen at 2:49 p.m. Friday near 450 Morrow County Road 26 in
Marengo. She is believed to be driving a gray Chevy Trailblazer pickup
truck with an Ohio license plate.
The child is 17-month-old
Kaia Bracy, who is white, weighs about 25 pounds and has brown hair and
brown eyes. She was last seen wearing white shorts, a pink top and no
shoes.
Collins is a white female with brown hair and brown eyes.
She is about 5-feet, 6-inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds. She was
last seen wearing hospital scrubs.
Authorities report she is suicidal and bi-polar and has made threats to harm her child.

Amber Alert has been issued for several counties, including Fayette,
Hocking and Pickaway. Anyone who may see the child, suspect or
suspect's vehicle is asked to call (877) 262-3764 or dial 911 to report
it.

MARENGO, Ohio — Authorities were preparing to cancel an Amber Alert
late this afternoon after they received word a woman who took her
non-custodial daughter was driving to a sheriff's office.

A person working at the Morrow County Sheriff's Office said that the
woman was prepared to turn herself and the 17-month-old to Delaware
County authorities.Investigators believed the child's
non-custodial mother took the child from a Morrow County home. They
described Melody Collins as suicidal and bipolar, and had made threats
to harm the child.
