TIFFANY ANN TRAXEL - 13 yo - Salem VA

The Virginia State Police have issued a Missing Child Alert for a 13-year-old girl from Salem.

Tiffany Ann Traxel has been reported missing. She is 5-foot, 115 pounds
with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing blue jeans
and a white jacket.


Police believe she is is in danger and might be in the company of
Charles Bryant Edwards II, a 22-year-old man who is 6-foot-1, 175
pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing blue
jeans and a gray jacket. Warrants have been filed charging Edwards with
indecent liberties with a child.

Salem investigators are seeking a man they’ve charged with taking indecent liberties with a child, a felony.

They’re
also trying to find a 13-year-old female who has been missing since
Wednesday night and was last seen running away with the suspect.

Charles
Bryant Edwards II, 22, has been charged with taking indecent liberties
with a minor child under the age of 15, a Class 5 felony, police said.
He is described as a white male standing 6 feet, 1 inch and weighing
about 175 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes and may be wearing
dark-framed eyeglasses.

Police Lt. Mike Green said officers
responded about 5:15 p.m. to the suspect’s residence in the 800 block
of Elizabeth Avenue for a report of indecent liberties involving a
young teen and an adult male acquaintance. The girl’s family members
told police the pair had last been seen fleeing on foot toward Texas
and Idaho streets, but investigators were not able to locate them.

The missing female, Tiffany Ann Traxel, is being considered a runaway juvenile.

Green
said that although she doesn’t meet the criteria for an Amber Alert,
Salem Police are working with Virginia State Police to have Tiffany
listed as a missing or endangered juvenile.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of either subject is asked to call Salem Police at 375-3083.

Salem investigators have located a man and a young female teen who had been missing since Wednesday night.

The two were located shortly before noon in the 1700 block of Millbrook Street, according to police Lt. Mike Green.

Green
said that, acting on leads, police found them near some horse stables,
near the border of Salem and Roanoke, just over two miles from the 800
block of Elizabeth Street, where both subjects live.

The teenager, Tiffany Ann Traxel, 13, was not injured and will be released to her parents, according to Green.

Family members of Traxel told police they last saw her running away from Edwards' residence with him about 5:15 p.m.

Salem
