"Jane Doe" - 8 yo - Aurora IL

An Aurora woman charged with offering and
then allowing a 66-year-old man to have sex with a young female relative
of hers has been found unfit to stand trial and will be transferred to a
state mental
health facility for treatment.Christina Sykora, 39, was
arrested last year and charged with permitting the sexual abuse of a
child and predatory sexual assault of a child for an alleged incident
about five years ago when Sykora reportedly ordered the girl, about age
8, to undress and be with the man while she watched, according to
previous testimony.
DuPage County Judge George Bakalis said
Wednesday that after reading court-ordered mental health evaluations, he
was finding her unfit for trial, but he believed that with proper
treatment she could be restored to a mental state that would permit her
to stand trial in the future. If convicted of both charges, she faces up
to 60 years in prison.Assistant Public Defender Anthony Coco
said that Sykora, who is being held in DuPage County Jail on $1 million
bail, has a myriad of mental issues and has low intelligence. She also
has several previous drug-related convictions.Sabino Martinez,
the Glendale Heights man charged with predatory criminal sexual assault
of a child in the same incident, remains in County Jail on $1 million
bail awaiting trial.
