A toddler was
left in critical condition at Oakland Children's Hospital after she
allegedly was shaken by a Modesto man earlier this week.Isaac
Hayes Ramirez, 23, is accused of shaking the 14-month-old daughter of
his roommate Tuesday.Ramirez told police and emergency workers
the girl had a seizure while playing with her brother. But the child was
found to have symptoms of shaken baby syndrome, Modesto police said.Investigators
continued questioning Ramirez about the incident, and they arrested him
Friday on suspicion of child endangerment.The girl was listed in
stable but critical condition, police said, and her brother wasn't
injured.
