MELODY ROSE MARTIN (Gibbs) - 15 yo - Ainsworth (North-Central) NE

A 15-year-old girl has been abducted from Ainsworth in north-central
Nebraska.Melody Rose Martin is believed by authorities to be in
danger. An amber alert was issued Wednesday night.

According to the Nebraska State Patrol and the Brown County Sheriff's Office:
Melody, who is also known as Melody Gibbs, was last seen at 205 S. Maple St. in
Ainsworth on Wednesday morning.

Melody has long, blonde, hair and was last seen wearing a black and pink tank top, light-colored blue
jeans and black Nike Airwalk shoes with pink laces. She may also be
carrying a black and pink backpack.She may be in the company of
Robert F. Olney, a 30-year-old man who is 5-feet 11-inches tall. They
may be traveling in a red 2007 4-door Hyundai Accent with a New York
license plate of EBG8885, possibly headed to New York or Alabama. Melody
and Olney are not related.

402-387-1440 immediately.

Teen Who Prompted Amber Alert Found Safe

AINSWORTH, Neb. --
The
mother of the Nebraska teen who prompted an Amber Alert said her
daughter has been found safe.Ramona Gibbs of Ainsworth, said her
daughter, Melody Rose Martin, 15, and the man she was with, Robert
Olney, 30, are in custody in Little Rock, Ark. The circumstances
surrounding how they were found are not known.

A 15 year old girl whose parents say she was traveling with a man she
met on an on-line gaming site has been found in Little Rock. 15 year
old Melody Rose Martin of Ainsworth, Nebraska and 30 year old Robert
Olney of Robertsdale, Alabama were both taken into custody yesterday.



Olney is currently in the Pulaski County Detention Facility with a "Hold for
Federal Marshal" stamped on his intake document with his photograph.
The document does not list the charges that Olney might face.

The 15 year old girl's mother, Ramona Gibbs, called authorities when she discovered her
daughter missing. Those calls prompted an Amber Alert to be issued for
Martin and Olney. Gibbs says her families use of a program to track
computer keystrokes helped police track down Olney.

The mother says that Melody met Olney while playing World of Warcraft on the
Internet, and that her daughter had become obsessed with the game,
sometimes playing as much as 90 hours per week.

Gibbs said, "A 15 year old being picked up in the middle of the night by a 30
year old, and this happens all the time?".

There's still no word on how police found the pair or the circumstances
surrounding the arrest of Olney.
