CHRISTOPHER LAGUNA - 7 yo - West Valley City (SW of Salt Lake City) UT

West Valley City UT ---- West Valley Police say that a child went missing at
about 11 a.m. Thursday morning and are asking the public for assistance.
They say a 7-year-old boy was last seen in the area near 3600 South and
1950 West. The boy, Christopher Laguna, is described as 3 feet tall,
with short black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a brown
t-shirt, red shorts and red shoes. He was said to be wearing play
tattoos on his arms and back. Police say if anyone has further

Police are still searching for a 7-year-old boy who was reported missing Thursday morning.
Christopher Laguna had been playing in the
area of 3600 South and 1950 West, possibly with friends, around 11 a.m.
while his family ran errands. Police believe the boy may have been by
himself for a while, and when his family returned to check up on him, he
was gone, said West Valley City Police Sgt. Mike Powell.
The child, described as a Hispanic boy, 3
feet tall with a medium build, short black hair and brown eyes, was last
seen wearing a brown T-shirt, red shorts and red shoes. He also has
several fake tattoos on his arms and back.
Police have been searching since 12:30 or 1 p.m. with detectives, a forensics team and search dogs.
"We're in the process of just furthering the searching and putting together an additional search as we speak," Powell said.

Police say the stepfather of a 7-year-old Utah boy found
uninjured after 10 hours missing has been arrested on suspicion of
child abuse.
Police Sgt. Mike Powell said Christopher Laguna was found about
8:30 p.m. Thursday playing outside a West Valley City apartment
complex some 20 blocks from were his stepfather had been watching him.
Powell says 22-year-old Florencio Jeronimo also faces false
information, obstruction of justice charges and a driving under the influence warrant.
Powell said the boy was "intentionally left unattended for an
extended period of time" on a hot day, putting him at risk.
