Portland police detectives are asking the public's help in locating
16-year-old Levi Richard Parker, who was last seen in Ventura Park on Thursday.

Levi was with his mother at the park located at
Southeast 117th and Stark Street when he was approached by a man in his
early 20s, according to Det. Mary Wheat, police spokeswoman. The man
offered Levi an hourly wage to do door-to-door marketing and told Levi's
mother that he would bring the boy back by 8 p.m. that same night.
Levi has not returned and is considered a missing juvenile, Wheat said.

A 16-year-old who went missing Thursday is currently back with his family, according to Portland Police spokeswoman Detective Mary Wheat.

Levi
Richard Parker, who was last seen at Ventura Park Thursday, called his
mother about 10 p.m. Sunday evening and asked to be picked up from a
location in Portland, according to Wheat. Police retrieved Parker and
returned him to his home.

Parker and his mother had been at the park, located at Southeast 117th
and Stark Street, when a man in his early 20s approached the teenager
about a job involving door-to-door marketing. The stranger promised
Parker's mother to bring him back to their home that evening after he
accepted the job, but Parker did not return.

Wheat said police
had not yet interviewed Parker at length about the incident, and that
investigators were not currently seeking any related criminal charges.
