Honolulu police have opened an assault investigation into a case of possible child abuse.
Officers said an 18-month-old boy was brought into Kapiolani Medical Center in
critical condition after he went unconscious at his day care center on Miller Street on Wednesday.
Police were notified Friday when a doctor said the injuries were
consistent with shaken baby syndrome.No arrests have been made.
