Hunt on for missing girl

A family is seeking help in locating a missing teenage girl who was last seen in Albany more than a week ago.Ashlee Rose Sears, 16, of South Glens Falls, was last seen Sept. 2`on Holland Avenue. She was living at St. Anne Institute, a group home in Albany, said Connie Tubbs, a family friend.The day she went missing, Sears was apparently walking around and arguing with two girls about visiting Buffalo. "Ashlee didn't want to go. and she told some people she was being pressured, and ended up separating on Holland Avenue," Tubbs said.Sears is 5 feet 7, weighs 157 pounds and has reddish-brown hair and blue-green eyes, according to a description provided by the family. She has a scar near one eye and a raspberry birthmark on the back of her neck. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing glasses, a red tank top, blue jeans, a black sweatshirt and tan Uggs.The teenager does not have needed medication, Tubbs said. She showed no signs of depression in the days leading to her disappearance, Tubbs said.Family and friends will conduct a search for Sears at 10:30 a.m. Sunday beginning at the Price Chopper on Central and Colvin avenues in Albany.Anyone with information about Sears' whereabouts is asked to call Albany police at 447-8780
