A Wake County, North Carolina woman was arrested on Friday after police officers found the body of her missing boyfriend in a freezer at their Raleigh home.Authorities arrested Wendy Edmond Green, 41, on charges of first-degree murder related to the murder of her live-in boyfriend, who police identified as 52-year-old David Reuben Green Jr. Green had been missing since early September when his relatives reported him missing.
Wendy Green was detained without incident at her new home in Robeson County on Friday where she was living with her two teenage children, which were the product of her long relationship with David Greene. The arrest was a consequence of a second search conducted by authorities in Wendy's former residence in Raleigh. The first search on September 7 did not reveal anything suspicious. However, police officers noted a powerful smell which was not present during the first visit.The law agents began looking around and eventually located the source of the strong smell, a freezer. Police officers opened it and found the body of David Green stuffed inside it. The discovery was possible due to the fact that the home's electricity was shut off in August, causing the body to decompose.A preliminary autopsy revealed that David Green died from blunt-force trauma and the forensic team determined that he was killed around April. However, authorities do not have a motive in the case but expect that, after questioning Wendy Green, the events surrounding the murder will be clarified.Another concern for Wake County authorities is the disappearance of Wendy's youngest child, 15-year-old David Green. Investigators are concerned about his safety.Meanwhile, Wendy's daughter Alexis Green, 17, remains imprisoned at the Wake County Jail since September 16. She is detained on multiple charges including contempt of court and failure to appear after her arrest due to burglary.

Authorities are questioning the 15-year-old son of a missing man found dead in his freezer last week. The teen was found in St. Paul, Minnesota earlier this week and transported back to Raleigh. She's serving time for a burglary and failure to appear in court. Last week it was not immediately known where the couple's son was, but he was found in St. Paul earlier this week living with a friend. Warrants released in the case revealed detectives suspect David Green, Jr. may have been murdered as far back as January. The warrants said he apparently died of severe injuries from unknown cutting instruments. Wendy Green had apparently moved out of the house on Ray Road sometime after David was last seen. Warrants also revealed authorities are seeking financial information related to credit cards belonging to the victim -- items that were allegedly found inside Wendy's purse when she was arrested. Two cell phones were also found inside her purse. Authorities say the Greens had domestic and custody issues in the past, including an assault on Wendy Green in 2007. David Green, Jr. was arrested and charged in that incident. Court documents show Wendy sued for custody of the children and David Green wanted his name added to his daughter's birth certificate. Wendy is currently in jail under no bond. Green's murder is still under investigation.

Two teens were indicted today in North Carolina
in the death of their father, whose decapitated body was found stuffed
in a freezer late last year, months after he was killed. The teens'
mother has already been charged with murder in the case.
Alexis Morgan Green, 17, and David Reuben Green III, 15, were charged
with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder in the death of
their father, 52-year-old David Reuben Green Jr.

Wendy Edmond Green has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of her boyfriend, David Reuben Green Jr.

The teens' mother, Wendy Edmond Green, 41, is being held in the Wake
County Jail on charges of first-degree murder in Green's death. The
Greens were not married, but police say Wendy Green had assumed her
boyfriend's last name.

Investigation into the case began in early September, when David Green's
family members contacted the Wake County Sheriff's Office to report him
missing. On Sept. 7, deputies conducted a search of the couple's
Raleigh home but were unable to locate him, sheriff's office spokeswoman
Phyllis Stephens told AOL News.

A second search was conducted in October. The home had since been
abandoned, and the power inside had been shut off. During a walk-through
of the residence, authorities detected an unusual smell coming from a
freezer in the basement. When deputies opened the freezer, they discovered Green's headless body, Stephens said.

Wendy Green was found living in nearby Robeson County. She was arrested and taken into custody without incident.

Green died of blunt-force trauma, according to an autopsy performed by
the State Medical Examiner's Office in Chapel Hill. Investigators
suspect he was killed in January 2009.

Authorities located Alexis Green at the Wake County Jail. She had
reportedly been incarcerated there in September on multiple charges
stemming from a July arrest on burglary charges.

The younger David Green was missing. Investigators were initially concerned about his safety, but he was later found safe.

According to police, the teenagers gave statements to investigators
implicating them "as having played active roles in the planning and
commission [of their father's murder] as well as cleaning up the crime
scene in an effort to conceal the crime."

Authorities have yet to comment on a possible motive in the killing, but court documents obtained by WRAL-TV in Raleigh allege that Wendy Green had been using her boyfriend's credit cards and had asked his family for money.

According to WRAL, prosecutors plan to try both teens as adults.

JMO, but I don't think they should be tried as adults because they were under the control and influence of a parent when the crime occurred.
