Missing teenagers sought

Information is being sought into the whereabouts of two teenagers described as "runaways" by the authorities.

Pierce Brekeen, 16, of Philadelphia and Kristian Harris, 15, of Louisville
were last seen leaving Spaceway on Mississippi 15 north in a green Mazda
late Sunday afternoon, said Philadelphia Police Richard Sistrunk.

"A witness told us that they said they were making a road trip," he said.

Tori Harris said that her daughter and Brekeen had been dating for several months.

"They had spent a couple of days together and he was supposed to be bringing
her home but they didn't show up," Harris said. "We last saw them at 6
p.m. Sunday and it wasn't until 8 p.m. that we found a letter from
Pierce saying that they had run away."

A letter from Kristian was found two hours later.

"This was completely unexpected," Harris said.

She described her daughter as having a bubbly personality, while Brekeen, she said, was very emotionally mature.

The teenagers attend separate schools. Harris goes to Nanih Waiya and Brekeen Neshoba Central.

The search for the missing couple had also spread to the social networking
website Facebook, with friends and family leaving comments pleading for
the teens to return home.

"Honey, please come home!" Dixi Kohrs posted. "Your momma and your daddy are
frantic with worry. Kristian, if you see this please come home, everyone
loves you and misses you. Please call or let someone know something."

Tammie Massey Johnson posted: "Kris, if you happen to read this, please come
home baby. You are loved no matter what! Please come home!"

Persons with information into the teens' whereabouts were asked to contact the Philadelphia Police Department at 601-656-2131.

Update: Missing Teenagers Return Home

Neshoba County, Miss.

The
Philadelphia Police Department had asked the media for help in locating
Kristian Harris, 15, and Pierce Brekeen, 16, earlier this week.

Appeals were even made to the teens through WTOK's comment section.

Officials say the pair came back late Wednesday and are unharmed. They had last been seen by their families Sunday evening.

Missing Philadelphia Teens Found

PHILADELPHIA, Miss (WCBI) - According to family members, the
pair returned home safely around 11 Wednesday night. 16-year-old
Kristian Harris and 16-year-old Pierce Brekeen were reported missing
after they were seen leaving Philadelphia late Sunday afternoon and did
not return home.
