The parents of a 7-month-old infant are facing charges after deputies
said they allowed the child to ingest crack cocaine, Davidson County
deputies said Monday.

Deputies said they were called to the home of Brandi and Jason Morris in Lexington on Friday and found the child.The child was taken to Brenner Children's Hospital in Winston-Salem for treatment and was evaluated overnight, deputies said.Deputies said investigators with the Department of Social Services are looking into the child's well being.The couple face charges of misdemeanor child abuse and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.Both are being held on a $10,000 bond each.
