Georgia Investigators Search for Missing Indiana Baby


ATLANTA - Georgia investigators have now joined the search for a missing infant from Indiana. Police said the boy's non-custodial father took him two days before Christmas, and now the child's family believes they could be in Atlanta.
The family says 8-month-old Jacob Young is with his father, Maurice. Relatives said they fear the pair may be somewhere in Atlanta after three weeks of running city to city with very little money and sleeping in homeless shelters.
"It's been a nightmare and I wouldn't wish this on anyone. I can't wait for him to be home," said the child's mother Sandy Young. "We're just praying that it goes fast, fast, fast."
"He phoned her a couple times that day, and basically told her, 'You almost found me, but you won't find me again' and that was the last she heard from him," said Jeff Lucas, the child's uncle.

Missing Indiana baby found following Fox59 exclusive report


Police have found missing baby Jacob Young at a hotel in Nashville


Police found missing 9-month old Jacob Young at a hotel with his father in Nashville, Tennessee, Friday.
Jacob had been the focus of an IMPD missing person investigation since December when his mother, Sandra Young, reported him missing.
She said Jacob's father, Maurice, took her son to run errands but never returned.
IMPD closed the missing person case after determining it was a custody issue since Jacob was with his father.
A Marion County court later granted custody to Sandra Young and the case was reopened.
Police said information had been flowing in to IMPD from the Fusion Center and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in the days leading up to the discovery.
Police said that case was one of "the most labor intensive cases" they had worked on "in recent times".
Fox59 was the only station to bring Sandra Young and baby Jacob's story to viewers in the Hoosier state.
Police have attempted to contact Sandra Young by her phone but have been unsucessful. An officer did go to her home, though, and told her to contact the Missing Person Branch.
Police said that there are no current charges against Mr. Young and none are anticipated at this time
