On Monday around 10 a.m., 19-year-old Shyane Harden went to Little
Dreamers Day Care on Sadlier Driver where investigators say she abducted
her daughter. According to IMPD, the woman had lost parental custody to
the little girl's grand parents. It's believed Shyane Harden is driving
a '92 white Buick LeSabre with license plate #QV4945 In God We Trust".
Police say Shyane may be headed to Florida.

Shyane has a prior arrest for prostitution and neglect of a dependant.
She is known to carry a pink and black small caliber weapon.

The baby, Shaniya, suffers from medical issues and currently needs to
take medication at least four times each day. Her medications were left
behind.

Indianapolis police are searching for an abducted baby who was taken from a day care center Monday morning.Police
said 9½-month-old Sha'niya Harden was likely taken by her 19-year-old
biological mother, Shyane Harden, from the Little Dreamers day care on
Sadlier Drive.Officers said they believe the child is in extreme danger.



Detectives said Sha'niya is 24 inches long, weighs 20 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.Her
mother is said to be 5 feet tall and weighs about 110 pounds with brown
hair, brown eyes, and a tattoo of "Lil Momma" on her neck and piercings
on the left eye, lips and ears.Officials said Shyane Harden lost a custody battle with the child's grandparents earlier.Officers said Shyane Harden has a prior arrest record for prostitution and neglect of a dependent, in Marion County.Police said Shyane Harden is known to carry a pink and black small caliber gun.Investigators said they believe Shyane Harden may be heading to Florida.

An Amber Alert has been issued for a 10-month-old girl police said was abducted from day care by her mother Monday.Police
said Shyane Harden, 19, went to Little Dreamers Day Care at 3905
Sadlier Drive just after 10 a.m. and took her daughter, Shaniya Harden."She
was like, 'I'm taking my daughter out of here one way or another,'"
said day care owner Dee Williams. "She snatched her daughter and a coat
and left."
Harden, who recently lost custody of her daughter to the child's grandparents, may be headed to Florida, police said."The
court has awarded guardianship to the grandparents, and so we need to
ensure that that child is in the grandparents' care," said Officer
Kendale Adams.Police said the car Harden was believed to have
been driving was recovered at 3:30 p.m. near 42nd and Mitthoeffer Road.
No new vehicle information was released.

Harden has a prior arrest for prostitution and neglect of a dependent. Police said she is known to carry a gun.The
toddler suffers from medical issues that require her to take
amoxicillin and albuterol four times a day. Police said both medications

Police located an Indiana girl early Tuesday morning after issuing an Amber Alert Monday night.
Police say Shayne Harden, 19, abducted her daughter, Sha'niya, from
an Indianapolis daycare. Harden does not have custody of the 9-month-old
child.
Officials called off the Amber Alert after the child was found safe in Indianapolis Tuesday morning.
Police were concerned Harden would try to take the child to Florida, and law enforcement in Kentucky were on the lookout.

A baby who’s non-custodial mother snatched her from a daycare
center and left her asthma medicine behind was found unharmed this
morning.Police tracked Shyane Harden, 19, and her 10-month-old
daughter, Shaniya Harden, to the Northeastside home of a childhood
friend of the mother’s at 6 a.m.The friend, who lives in the 9300
block of Wittfield Ct., did not know that police were looking for the
pair, said Kendale Adams, an Indianapolis Metropolitan police spokesman.

The
mother did not resist when police knocked on the door this morning,
Adams said. She has been preliminarily charged with criminal
confinement, neglect of dependent and violation of a court order.

Shyane recently lost custody of Shaniya, who was being cared for by her grandparents.

An amber alert had been issued after Shyane took Shaniya from the Little Dreamers Day Care, 3905 Sadler Dr., at 10 a.m. Monday.

The
baby takes medication four times a day and also uses an inhaler. Though
none of the mediation was with the baby, she was in good health.

1992 white Buick LeSabre the mother was driving was found ditched near
42md Street and Mitthoefer Road Monday afternoon. Adams said the mother
probably walked to the friend’s house from there.

ad on the site Backpage.com that included racy pictures of Harden,
posting under the name India, and a description of massage services she offered.
Investigators posed as clients and went to Harden's home,
where they said she solicited them for sex, prompting her arrest."These
alleged allegations happened inside the resident in which she lived
with her child. As a result of that, she was arrested," said
Indianapolis police spokesman Kendale Adams.According to a
probable cause affidavit released Wednesday, a Department of Child
Services caseworker who had been working with the family for nearly a
year said she noticed a change in Shyane Harden's behavior and demeanor
in the past few weeks."Shyane has become very unstable, is not
thinking clearly and is in a very panic state," the caseworker said she
was told by a health care worker who evaluated Shyane. "She does not
believe that Shyane would intentionally harm her child, but that the
changes in Shyane could cause her to put herself and her child in harm's
way."Harden is due back in court Friday.

19-Year-Old Took Daughter From Day Care

INDIANAPOLIS -- An Indianapolis mother who abducted her 9-month-old daughter, prompting an Amber Alert earlier this year, will not spend time in prison.

Shyane Harden, 19, who lost custody of her daughter, Shaniya Harden, after engaging in prostitution while the child was in her home, pleaded guilty Tuesday to criminal confinement and prostitution.

Harden was sentenced to one year at Craine House, an Craine House, an alternative sentencing program for nonviolent female offenders with young children, followed by two years on probation.The judge said the goal is to eventually reunite Harden with her daughter.

At the time of February's abduction, investigators said Harden was awaiting trial on charges of prostitution and child neglect.
