Police search for missing girl

JAMES CITY COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) - Police, family, and friends are searching for a 16-year-old girl who went missing after she left school on Friday, January 21.

James City County Police said Randylin "Randy" Wright walked out of Lafayette High School at 2:30 p.m. on Friday and has not been seen since. Wright lives in James City County with her legal guardians but has relatives in Virginia Beach and North Carolina, officers said.

She may have run away, but has no history of running away in the past, Maj. Stephen A. Rubino said. Rubino also said she has no cell phone, money or car.

Police said they do not suspect foul play, but are concerned since she has not been seen or heard from since Friday afternoon. Wright was last seen wearing blue jeans, black Ugg boots, and a short peacoat. She has blonde hair and blue eyes.

JAMES CITY COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) - A 16-year-old girl went missing after she left school on Friday, January 21 has been found unharmed, police said Thursday.

James City County Police said Randylin "Randy" Wright walked out of Lafayette High School at 2:30 p.m. on Friday and hadn't been seen four almost one week. That's when her family called to report her missing.

Wright lives in James City County with her legal guardians but has relatives in Virginia Beach and North Carolina, officers said.
