"Toddler Jane" WRIGHT - 3 yo - Bullhead City AZ

A Bullhead City man, charged with child abuse, is expected to enter into a plea agreement next month.

Christopher Darryl Wright, 25, is charged with three counts of child abuse per
domestic violence and two counts of aggravated assault per domestic
violence. A defendant faces up to 24 years in prison if tried and
convicted of one count of child abuse.

His attorney, Stephen Glazer, asked Superior Court Judge Steven Conn Monday to set a change of
plea hearing. The judge later set that hearing for Aug. 16. Details of
the plea agreement were not given. Wright is being held in jail on a $60,000 bond.

Wright’s wife, Shatisha Marie Wright, 23, also has
been charged with one count of child abuse per domestic violence. She
pleaded guilty in May to a reduced count of child abuse. Under the plea
agreement, Judge Steven Conn sentenced her in June to probation for five
years and to 200 days in county jail.

The couple was arrested March 22 after Bullhead City police
officers responded to the Western Arizona Regional Medical Center on a
report of a beaten child. The 3-year-old girl had bruises to her face
and head. She later was flown to a Las Vegas hospital.

Christopher Wright allegedly physically abused his daughter numerous times since
they moved to Bullhead City from California in early March. Shatisha
Wright is charged with allegedly not calling police, Child Protective
Services or removing the child from the abuse. CPS took custody of the
girl and three other children, who are 2 and 4 years old, and 11 months old.
