DAMARIS MENDOZA and ALEXANDER (SON)- 14 yo and 1 yo (2011) - College Park GA

COLLEGE PARK, Ga. -- College Park police are asking for help in locating a missing child and her 1-year-old child.

Damaris Luceli Mendoza, 14, was last seen on Saturday on Hawthorne Avenue in College Park. She is 4 feet 10 inches tall, 116 pounds with brown eyes and shoulder length black hair. She was wearing a short sleeve plaid shirt and blue jean capri-style pants.

Police say Mendoza left with her 1-year-old son Alexander Benjamin Reynosa-Mendoza who has black hair and is wearing a brown and white long sleeve shirt and brown pants.

Posters note: WHY does a child who got pregnant at 12, gave birth at 13, have obviously poorly supervised access to the baby at only 14 years old??????? Why wasn't that baby adopted out to a loving, stable, two parent family? If the obviously dysfunctional family of the child who became pregnant couldn't make the right decision in the best interests of both children, why didn't the authorities step in and do the right thing on behalf of the baby and the pregnant child???? I just don't understand how in the world this was acceptable, and now there are two children in grave danger- especially poor 1 year old Alexander who needs protection from his biological family. He deserved a proper chance at a decent life! It's a crime IMO. What the hell were the authorities doing? America isn't a third world country FGS but when you read stuff like this you have to wonder!
