North Las Vegas Police search for missing teen

North Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) – Detectives with the North Las Vegas Police Department
are asking for the public's help in locating Kelly Marie Harms, a missing 16-year-old girl.
Harms reportedly left her home in the 3300
block of East Rome Boulevard with some of her personal belongings on
January 29 around 6:30 pm. She has not been seen since.
Detectives believe that she is in need of immediate attention for a potentially fatal medical condition.



Kelly Marie Harms is a white female with
brown hair, blue eyes, a light complexion and a thin build. She is 5'1"
tall and weighs about 106 pounds.

The 16-year-old girl who had had disappeared after leaving her home the
evening of Jan. 29 with a bag some of her belongings has turned herself
in, North Las Vegas police spokeswoman Chrissie Coon said.Kelly
Marie Harms turned herself in at a high school Friday afternoon. Police
had said that she was at risk because she needed medication for a
potentially fatal medical condition.Kelly was taken to a hospital where she was being treated and was reunited with her parents, Coon said.

Police say a North Las Vegas teen who has been missing since January 29 has been found.
Sixteen-year-old Kelly Marie Harms contacted a
family member shortly after 8 p.m. Friday from Sunrise Mountain High
School near Carey Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard.
She was immediately taken to University Medical
Center to be treated for a prior medical condition that can
be life-threatening. She is in good condition.
Police say Harms had been staying with friends
who pressured her to turn herself in after news reports surfaced
regarding her disappearance.
