"Baby" CASTLE - 2 Months - Jackhorn (near WV state line) KY

A 24-year-old Letcher County mother has been arrested after allegedly
leaving her two-month-old infant inside an unattended vehicle.
Kentucky State Police say Trooper Brandon Thomas was patrolling the
Whitesburg Plaza Shopping Center when he was alerted by a citizen who
heard the infant crying inside a Chevrolet Cavalier. Trooper Thomas
arrested Nancy M. Castle of Jackhorn, who had gone into an Appalachian
Wireless store to purchase a cell phone.
The child was taken into the custody of the Department of Social Services.
Castle is charged with first-degree wanton endangerment and
endangering the welfare of a minor. An indictment warrant was also
served charging Castle with several other unrelated felony charges, according to police.
Castle is being held in the Letcher County jail.
