A Springfield toddler has been reunited with his mother nearly four months after police say he was abducted by her boyfriend.


Springfield police tell KSPR US Marshals tracked down and arrested
Bernard Rheaves in California. Investigators say Rheaves abducted the
3-year-old son of a Springfield woman.
Britnay Cavazos told police Rheaves took her son last October, but
she didn't believe the boy was in danger. Since then an SPD detective
has beeing working with the National Center for Missing and Exploited
Children and the U.S. Marshals Service to find Rheaves and the boy.Greene County prosecutors have charged Rheaves with felony child abduction, his bond is set at $15,000.
Springfield police say the toddler, who's also named Bernard Rheaves, was reunited Sunday with his mother.
