"Jane Doe" - 16 yo - Green OH

Missing girl from Green found in FloridaGreen, Ohio — On March 2, at approximately 11 p.m., a 16-year-old girl from Green was reported missing. The girl’s mother reported that the girl’s boyfriend, Andrew Cassell, had picked her up from school on March 2.

The girl’s mother received a text message from her daughter’s cell phone about 8:15 pm on March 2 stating that she was on her way home. At approximately 10 p.m., she was still not home and her mother had not heard anything else from her. The girl was entered into LEADS as a missing person. On March 7, an Amber Alert was issued on behalf of the missing girl.

On March 8, Kidnapping and Interference with Custody charges were filed in Barberton Municipal Court on Andrew Cassell, age 18 of Green. On March 8, detectives received information that Cassell and the missing girl were in Florida.

The U.S. Marshal’s Violent Fugitive Task Force assisted by coordinating efforts with law enforcement agencies in south Florida. Andrew Cassell was arrested during a traffic stop by the Miami Springs Police Department. The girl was located unharmed at a hotel room in Miami Springs, Florida. She was taken to the Miami Springs Police Department and her parents were notified.
