WKMG-Channel 6’s “Flashpoint” turns to the Casey Anthony case this weekend. Moderator Lauren Rowe will discuss the upcoming trial with reporter Tony Pipitone and WFTV legal analyst Mark O’Mara. Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee. The program airs at 8:30 a.m. Sunday.

On other public-affairs programs this weekend:

***WFTV’s “Central Florida Spotlight” looks at the fallout from Gov. Rick Scott’s killing high-speed rail. The program explores conservative activists’ push to suspend all passenger rail projects in the state and why rail supporters say the projects are crucial. The guests will be tax watchdog/activist Matthew Falconer and Aaron Gorovitz, rail supporter and attorney. The program airs at 12:30 p.m. Saturday on WFTV and repeats at 4:30 p.m. Sunday on WRDQ-Channel 27.

***”The Agenda” examines the 2012 presidential race with Aubrey Jewett, a political science professor at the University of Central Florida. In “The Advocates” segment, John Morgan and Frank Kruppenbacher discuss next year’s presidential race. The program airs at 1:30 and 7:30 p.m. Sunday on Central Florida News 13, which is available to customers of Bright House Networks. Professor Jewett talks about the Tea Party in an interview on News 13 on Demand, Bright House Networks channel 313.

***”Facing Florida” looks at Gov. Scott’s first 100 days. The guests are Mary Ellen Klas of The Miami Herald and John Kennedy of The Palm Beach Post. Mark Schlakman, senior program director of the FSU Center for the Advancement of Human Rights, discusses a proposed review of death penalty cases. The program airs at 12:30 p.m. Sunday on WFTV.
