If the trial of Casey Anthony starts as scheduled, it will be less than one month away. The trial will be viewed by millions across the United States, Canada and even abroad. In my opinion, it will surpass the number of viewers who watched the OJ trial, especially on the day that the verdict was read. The outcome of OJ’s trial was a shock to many but there were those who were not surprised. The late Johnny Cochrane’s words, “if the glove doesn’t fit, you must acquit have become infamous.” OJ had the money to hire the very best lawyers and the prosecution were no match for them. Mistakes were made during that trial and the ‘race’ card played a big role with Mark Fuhrman’s use of the ‘N’ word. Many of us feel that the trial was a contest of the lawyers and justice was not served.
