Girl's Mother Remains Jailed On Murder Charges

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Local 6 News has obtained an advance copy of the latest edition of People magazine, which claims that detectives said a blanket found with the remains of Caylee Anthony is a match to items inside the Anthony family home.
The magazine, which will be released on Friday, features Caylee on the cover and offers a six-page article that promises to provide several Anthony family secrets.

Casey Anthony, 22, remains jailed on first-degree murder charges in her daughter's death. Caylee's remains were found last month in a wooded area near her parents' east Orange County home, where she lived with Caylee.
The article is a compilation of thousands of pages of legal documents and family interviews which brings readers up to date on the case from the magazine's last Caylee cover story, which was published a couple of months ago.
The blockbuster item in the story is People's claim that a Winnie the Pooh blanket found with Caylee's remains is a match to other Winnie the Pooh items inside the Anthony family home. Local 6 News has not been able to confirm the link that People attributes to investigators.
The article goes into detail about the dysfunctional relationship between Casey Anthony and her mother, Cindy Anthony, and the strain it put on the family.
People also outlines George Anthony's recent apparent suicide attempt, his trip to a Daytona Beach motel and the threatening text messages he sent family members. He remains hospitalized at Halifax Medical Center, but his attorney, Brad Conway, said he could return home as early as Friday.
Conway is quoted in the magazine saying that George and Cindy Anthony are not sure whether their daughter killed Caylee. They have longed maintained that Casey Anthony did not kill her daughter.
The last lines of the People magazine article say:
"But are her parents still completely convinced that she is innocent? When asked that question by reporters right after George's hospitalization, attorney Conway hedged. 'They don't know, they don't know,' he said. 'None of us know.'

Thank you so much, Mom_in_Il! According to the People article there WAS a stainless steel knife found in the bag. But, I thought that was not on the list from the last set of documents? So, was there or wasn't there?
If there was a knife found in the bag, then that means Casey had two knives she was toting around???

Thanks for the info, mom_in....Admin., I'm confused too..If there was one in the bag, would it be possible to still have her fingerprints on it? Maybe that the one she used to cut the tape...I guess time and LE will tell...Thanks again...

No, there was no knife in the bag. The knife on the list came from an early evidence box - from the car. If you go back and check the list you will see the evidence box number.

I agree with Kiwi. Maybe this will help: (Taken from Sus' notes on the latest Document release)kiwimom wrote:No, there was no knife in the bag. The knife on the list came from an early evidence box - from the car. If you go back and check the list you will see the evidence box number.
