THE SEARCH FOR IRELAND’S longest-missing person has resumed in Co Donegal.
Six-year-old Mary Boyle of Kincasslagh, Co Donegal, disappeared while
visiting her grandmother at Ballyshannon on 18 March, 1977.
She was wearing a lilac hand-knitted cardigan, brown jeans and black Wellington boots when she was last seen.
Yesterday, members of her family and the gardaí began searching an area of bog
close to where she was last seen, according to the Examiner. The new
dig was initiated after information was received from a Danish psychic.
Singer Daniel O’Donnell’s sister Margo hired the psychic Yan Sterns
to help the Boyle family in their search. The BBC reports that Sterns
identified an area near Ballyshannon during a visit there on Friday
which he believed should be searched.
Gardaí have released an image showing what Mary could look like now, aged 40,
and say their search for her is still “a live investigation”:
