Missing 3-year-old Campbell girl severely abused; couple sought

A desperate search is underway for a severely abused 3-year-old Campbell
girl who disappeared with her mother and her mother's ex-boyfriend,
police said Wednesday.Responding to a phone call Tuesday,
Campbell police went to do a welfare check at 2:30 p.m. at an apartment
at 1300 Pollard Road, only to find no one was home. The search for the
girl -- whose first name is Dejah -- her mother Jane Marin and the
mother's ex-boyfriend George Rodriquez began immediately.Campbell
Capt. Dave Carmichael said police have since obtained evidence the
child was the victim of severe abuse. But he said he cannot release any
details at this time for fear of jeopardizing the case.George
Rodriguez is described as 35 years old, 6-feet-1 inch tall and 230

Campbell Police were looking for a missing 3-year-old girl, her mother
and her mother's ex-boyfriend Wednesday night after findingPolice said Jane Marin and her ex-boyfriend George Rodriguez were missing along with Marin's young daughter Dejah.Officers
were called to the couple's house at around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday on a
welfare check for the little girl. Police said Dejah is the victim of
severe child abuse.Dejah was last known to be with Marin, who is a
31-year-old Hispanic woman standing about 5 feet tall and weighing
about 130 pounds, police said. Police describe Rodriguez as a 35-year-old Hispanic man standing 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighing about 230 pounds.Police believe that the three could be in the San Jose area.Anyone

and two adults. They're looking for a little girl named Dejah, her
mother Jane Marin, and Marin's boyfriend George Rodriguez, who live in
the 1300 block of Pollard Road in Campbell.
Police say they were called to the home Tuesday to do a

Missing Toddler Found In South Bay, Mother In Custody

missing 3-year-old girl who authorities believe to be an abuse victim
was found Wednesday night in East San Jose with her mother, who was
taken into custody according to police.Campbell Police had issued
a call for help finding the toddler girl Dejah Marin and her mother,
31-year-old Jane Marin, and her mother's ex-boyfriend George Rodriguez
earlier in the day.Officers were called to the couple's house at
around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday on a welfare check for the little girl. Police
said Dejah is the victim of severe child abuse.Dejah was last
known to be with Marin. Mother and child were found in a grocery story
parking lot in East San Jose shortly after 8 p.m., according to police.The
child was taken to an area hospital for examination. Her mother was
taken into custody as police continue to investigate abuse charges.

Police find missing abused girl with mother

CAMPBELL, Calif. -- A missing, severely abused 3-year-old California girl has been found with her mother, who is now in jail.

Campbell police Capt. Dave Carmichael says 31-year-old Jane Marin was arrested Wednesday night for investigation of felony child abuse. The girl was taken to a hospital for examination and is in the custody of police and Child Protective Services.

The San Jose Mercury News says investigators had obtained evidence earlier in the day that the child was being severely abused. When police went to the family home in Campbell, the girl, her mother and the woman's ex-boyfriend were gone.

There was a search and Marin and her daughter were found in a San Jose shopping center parking lot.The ex-boyfriend is being sought for questioning.
