May 13, 2011 - Halton Regional Police issued a notice today (Friday), just before 5 p.m., to say they are seeking the public’s assistance in locating 14-year-old Sarah Salisbury.


Police seek help finding missing teen, Sarah Salisbury

Salisbury was last seen on Thursday (May 12) at 3:05 p.m., getting on an eastbound Burlington Transit bus in front of Nelson H.S., at 4181 New St.

The teen was on her way to the Appleby GO train station then to Mimico, by train, to meet with her parents. She was expected to arrive at 4:30 p.m., but never showed.

Burlington Det.-Sgt. Ray Bruce said it is out of character for Salisbury to go missing.

She is described as white, 5-foot-7, 140 lbs., with wavy blonde hair past her shoulders and blue eyes.

She was last seen wearing black dress pants, a black tank top underneath a purple/mauve blouse and black/white/green checkered high top sneakers.

Sarah Salisbury: LOCATED, safe, in Montreal

A 14-year-old Burlington girl missing since Thursday has been located by authorities in Montreal.

Halton police were able to track down Sarah Salisbury after she accessed her Facebook account from a public computer Monday morning. The teen contacted friends and family to tell them she was in Montreal and expressed a desire to come home, police said.

Halton police contacted local authorities once Salisbury’s whereabouts had been determined. Montreal police immediately tracked down the teen, who was found in good condition.

She has since been reunited with her family, police said.
