"Infant John" GOEKLER-BREWER - 4 Months - Saucier MS

Three Saucier residents are in jail today
on felony charges alleging they abused or neglected to stop the abuse of
a four-month-old boy, officials said.The baby’s father, mother
and grandmother were arrested Monday night. Sheriff’s officials said the
baby’s injuries include old and new broken bones and a black eye.William
Cassius Brewer, 26, was arrested on a charge of felony child abuse. His
wife, Jennifer Goekler Brewer, 24, and her mother, Lori Goekler, 48,
were arrested on a charge of contributing to the neglect of a child,
also a felony because of the extent of the baby’s injuries.
The three were booked at the county jail Monday night and held on bonds of $100,000 each.Officials
said the baby was taken to the emergency room at Biloxi Regional
Medical Center on May 15, which started an investigation.
The Brewers live in the 20100 block of Nells Road in Saucier.
Goekler lives in the 18400 block of Amanda Lane.
