ORLANDO, Fla. -- After three years of twists, turns and drama in the case, Casey Anthony's murder trial gets under way Tuesday morning.
Opening statements are scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday. WESH 2 News will have live coverage on WESH-TV and WESH.com.
More than 600 members of the media have been credentialed to cover the trial. An empty lot across from the courthouse has turned into a media village of sorts with broadcast platforms and television studios built on stilts.
The trial has drawn coverage from around the world.
WESH 2's Amanda Ober found a group of women from as far as Detroit who all formed friendships while blogging about the case online. They're now meeting up and plan to spend their vacation in Orlando watching the trial.
