A body has
been found in the Great Miami River in Franklin Township, near the area
where police were searching for a missing teenager on Sunday. A
representative from the Warren County Coroner's Office says the body
found could be that of missing teen Cody Pressler.
The body was found around Noon Tuesday.
Authorities are still searching the area. Officials have not released
the identity of the body found in the river; however, the Warren County
Coroner's office says the body is a male. Due to the heavy decomposition
to the body caused by the record heat in the area, the body will have
to be identified by dental records. There is no word on how long the
body was in the river before it was found.

Body Found In Great Miami Identified As Missing Teen
Woman Says She Heard Cries For Help Before Teen Drowned
UPDATED: 6:01 pm EDT June 2, 2011
FRANKLIN, Ohio -- The Warren County coroner's office confirmed that a body found in the Great Miami River is that of a missing teenager.Cody
Pressler was last seen on May 26. Search teams had been looking for
the 18-year-old Pressler in the river after a resident reported hearing
someone yell for help Friday, two days before a search began."He
was begging for help, some one just help him," said Ruthie, who declined
to give her last name. "It was terrifying; you could just hear it in
his voice. He was scared to death."Ruthie directed her niece to
call 911, and she said a police officer arrived a short time later and
drove along a levee. But she said no firefighters or medical crews were
sent."I still cry because, like I said, I can still hear his
voice screaming for help," Ruthie said. "It was the most terrible thing
I've ever heard. You could tell he wanted help."Ruthie said the
river was moving swiftly that night, and she suspects the man was able
to raise his head above water just long enough to call for help before
he was carried away."We could hear him in one spot and it would be like two seconds later, we'd hear him again," Ruthie said. She walked along the riverbank but never found the person calling for help, and eventually the cries stopped."It put chills all the way through me," Ruthie said. "I can still hear him screaming for help."A body was found Tuesday morning near, and it was identified Thursday as Pressler.Chief
Investigator Doyle Burke said Pressler apparently fell into the river
by accident. He said nothing in preliminary autopsy results indicates
suicide. The coroner is still awaiting toxicology results.Franklin
police said the responding officer was unable to find anyone in
distress and called dispatchers in Middletown because the woman said the
cries were moving downstream in that direction. No missing person report had been filed at that time, police said.Pressler's
family reported him missing Sunday at 1:30 a.m., and Warren County
sheriff's deputies filed a report and began a river search at 2 p.m.
with the help of Franklin police."Cody was a bright, beautiful
young man," said the teen's father, Steve Pressler. "He was such a
gifted musician who just started an internship at a recording studio. He
was a very beloved son and a grandson, and the family asks to respect
their privacy as they grieve this terrible loss."Steve Pressler
asked that WLWT not post a photo of his son until his family has had an
opportunity to grieve. WLWT will honor that request.
