ORLANDO, Fla. -- Casey Anthony melted down in tears Friday morning as a witness testified that Caylee's remains had been chewed and spread by animals.
Caylee's remains were found in a wooded area off of Suburban Drive in December 2008, six months after the toddler was last seen.
Prosecutors called University of Central Florida anthropology professor Dr. John Shultz as a witness Friday morning.
Shultz examined the remains that were collected. He has worked with authorities in several cases and specializes in recovering skeletons.
Shultz testified about the intensive process of filtering through foliage and dirt to find bone fragments.

Prosecutors then called Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Jan Garavaglia to the stand.
Dr. G, as she is known, said in 2008 that Caylee's cause of death was homicide by undetermined means.
Her testimony is likely to bring a lot of fire from Anthony's defense team.
